Dexter EZ Flex Kit

I bought the Dexter EZ Flex Spring Kit and getting ready to install. I noticed it was much heavier duty than the original shackles. One thing I wanted to point out is, the shackles have Dexter's name on the outside and made in India on the inside. Looks like they are outsourcing some of their products and it may have been no big deal but I thought all there products were of USA. If any of you have some installation expertise on these you want to share please let me know. I am going down and buying some 6 ton jack stands tomorrow.

Well I finished the project and the kit does allow what I would call free movement of the axles with little effort. I suppose the bronze bushings helped the most. It is a full day job that I split up into two 1/2 days. I adjusted the brakes while I was there and made sure all was well... no need to grease the bearings as I have the Nevr- Lube setup.

One piece of advise I will give , if you take the dremel tool and just clean up the inside of the spring eye hole it will allow easier installation of the bronze bushings... still will be a snug fit. I will take a trip soon and give some feedback on this product.



I did not take any pictures of the job, however, if you search the web there is one that I saw was pretty good advise, although they did not mention the dremel tool.

India is very busy. I needed to replace a license plate light socket because it fell apart. I ordered everything from LMC. When I unpacked the parts, they all read "Made in India", including the parts with the genuine Mopar labels. I would think any savings in labor costs would be eaten up by shipping and handling costs.
