Competition 6.0 box=500 hp???????

Tomac- yeah I had heard you had had that turbo for about two years. I thought she was a goner for sure. Glad to see you didn't bread anything.

Brad? EEPer csevers layed the smack down on poor Brad-with a 400# weight disadvantage. :--)

I was as shocked as Dan Scheid must be... ... :-laf

Gene, I hope the turnout for the Super Street gets better. Maybe the Street diesel should be toned down a bit. RPM limits placed and enforced. Maybe scale the charger back just a tad bit. This could push some of the guys into the next class. Just kind of hard for a dodge guy to have a streetable truck and compete with somebody like Painter. Just a suggestion. I think the WS was a good idea, but toning the street class down will force the super street to grow.

I wish we had video of a certain Blue Dodge owner, 3 years ago telling Brian Block the Street chargers needed to be 2. 8, with bushings and adapter plates... fast forward to his face as Dan Painter was headed for Minnesota with the sled! :-laf

I'm thinking at least down to 2. 6, no bushing, for 07.

There are more Super Street trucks out there, there just don't think pulling season starts until July.

I like that rule, since there seem to be so many streetable trucks with the 66 mm chargers on them. Anybody know what charger painter had in his truck?

And give the super street guys a break, I barely had my truck ready for june and I am probably half the HP that they are running. Since we are discussing it could be possible to detune the super street just a little too. I think the really hot running trucks are having driveline troubles.

Don't forget, I have wrenched on a truck all winter, I know what its like.

But seriously, its getting to the point, where we need to have a series every other year, to give everyone a chance to finsh their trucks!!! ;)

I see no reason to detune Super Street.

I remember telling Gene that getting rid of the 4500 RPM limit was going to open up a can of worms when guys with full built pulling motors and a 2. 8 turbo would dominate the street class and that's exactly what's happening.

Yea, that 500 rpm was worth 35 feet. I would wager a lot of money, Dan Painters engine would run plenty strong at 4500rpm.

You want to choke these things back, the way to do it is turbo.

Maybe its time to put a 3000 rpm limit in effect, eh Tomac? Even things up for the 6 cylinders against those high reving V-8s.

If you limited it to 3000rpm's the common rail cummins would clean up! :-laf

But I agree Gene... air should limit the classes. (dont tractors do the same thing?)

Yes, but some of the goof tractors classes play "Fool the techer with an rpm checker. "

The rpm limit was the next step away from the PACE TRACTOR.

The Cummins would kill everything at 3000. Or under.
