November 23rd Breakfast.

Event at Suncoast

Hey yall,

Just got wind of the final DHRA race for our season! It's going to be December 7th at Baytown. Gates open at 2pm, and time trials start around 2:30.

There is currently no director for Div. 4, so there are several of us winging it, with hopes of working something out for next season.

It sounds like there will be a payout of the fastest MPH's, and a payout to the quickest ET's of each brand. So up to 6 trucks could win some money, not counting the winning payouts!

Mark your calanders cause this will be a big one!

Also please make sure you are in accordance with the DHRA rule book, as the inspectors WILL be enforcing ALL the rules.

hey andrew what happened to the division finals in Ennis on NOV 9 or 11 (I don't remember which) is there even gonna be a race then ???

Nope, race was NEVER even scheduled with the track, that was just a date that someone WANTED to do, but never followed through.

Sometimes things take more time then is thought was required, and the job of DHRA Division Director is one of them. Nothing wrong with taking a jab at it when no one else will. :)

So no one has intrest in the DHRA, yet they all have intrest in the Clash races where we get treated like a red headed step-child?

Don't have the time to make mine "legal".

Looks like this is going to be a great race, with Dennis Perry bringing his 11 second ride, and Nowel said he is scrambling hard to get his new configuration together to bring it, and if he can, he is going to bring Richard "Maddog" himself.

That's 3 11 second trucks.

David Lott will be there with his 12. 5 Ford, and Joe Hellman said he is going to try and make it also, another proven 12v in the 12's. I'm sure Chris Strickland will stop by also with his 12. xx ride.

That's 3 12 second trucks I can name off quickly from the top of my head.

The Dr. Performance drag truck is rumored to be there also. That thing will do 9's with a mild motor. Will he have his new motor in by Dec 7th? Come find out.

Anyone else care to join us? It's going to be a blast!

Baytown is less than 20 miles east of Houston. You never really know you leave Houston, as there are suburbs all the way. Great facility, plenty of room, hotels close by. Only concern is the weather. This past weekend we have gone from Friday morning, brisk north wind, low 60's to heavy down pours (rain) and brisk southeast wind (extreme humidity) and low 80's. As they say here in Texas..... "Don't like the weather... ... just wait about a half hour  ".

As stated earlier by Andrew, the DHRA event will be early followed by the tracks normal Sunday test and tune called "Instant Green Sundays'". Anyone can run, just line up and go (after Tech. ). They are fairly loose on Tech for this unless you approach low 12 sec. times. It will be a great event, hope everyone has a safe trip in, see ya there... ... ...

Who's gonna be there?

How many TDR members are planning on showing up? Are You going to race on the "instant green" later in the afternoon?

I will be there. I want to race, but I may need a little encouragement!

Come on out and run, everbody there should be friendly, don't understand why some arn't friendly, if you find some that arn't, then find someone else! ;)

They always have to make it difficult!

Race is on Sunday, 8 hour drive home and I have to get up at 0430 Monday morning, this math doesn't work... ... . and I was going to drive the Fire breathing Sonoma down.

Jim

I'll be there for all the pre and post race activities. Had to practically sell my soul to the devil to get off work, but I did it. :D

I know I'll have fun. Maybe they'll let me run the gasser. :p

Just saw a SE Tx forecast for Sunday - calls for low of 32 & high of 57 - outta be just about perfect conditions to feed plenty of cold, dense air to the beasts!
