Competition HP vs TQ one..more..time......

Competition 100 days 'till Indy guys !!!!!

Okay it's not racing or pulling, but I will be on ESPN2 Sunday February 20th talking about the DHRA and showcasing the Scheid Top Diesel Dragster and the Edge Wolverine. It's not a lot, but it's a start. The show is Inside Drag Racing and airs at 11:00 am EST. Special thanks to Silverline Exhausts and Edge Products for allowingus to film in their booths during the SEMA show.

ESPN2 will also be at Diesel Thunder @ IRP in June filming the pulling and racing!

Thanks FLETCH. Mike Wood from Nitrous Express, called me wanting me to meet him at my truck in the SEMA show, told me a camera crew would be there in 30 minuets. , I was out at the track with our comp car doing a little testing. We made a mad dash to get back in time to walk up to them setting up the set ,they had just finished with Ernie’s dragster , and were wanting a segment on my truck ,and my entrants in the diesel racing. Their main angle was diesel coming in to the main stream racing, and traditional racers coming in and moving the diesel market along. I’m sure this was a combination of Nitrous Express, and Edge’s PR guys , that gave them the ideal for this segment. who ever this was thanks , they shot about 45 mions of raw film

I'm not sure however, I was in Seattle today and heard a person say that the NHRdA had something to do w/ this ? I'll check this out………….

Remember, you can't win the Halibut derby with the assumption of what your fish weigh, you have to throw it on a scale :-laf

Speaking of scales I hear from several sources that your making claims that a friend of yours saw my truck on them and that it only weighed 5700lbs. and here all this time I thought you were more intelligent than that. :-laf If you wouldn't mind sharing it with me I would really like to know how I could get a Ford F350 Crewcab 4X4 to go on that much of a diet and still keep all the stock sheet metal. Removing the rear seat, tailgate, and rear bumper is not near enough to get the old crewcab under 6800lbs let alone 5700lbs . It's a shame that your truck which is at least 1500lbs lighter, and much lower is only . 007 of a second faster. :-laf Maybe your the one that needs to stack a couple of boxes. :D

Ok that does it, this Sunday, you and me @ the Elvis drag strip in Memphis. I’m not trying to be facetious but, bring something fast that’s capable of a full run. :p

Thanks Ryan,

A drag racer or sled puller will be able to get more impressions, opportunities to be on TV with us than if you were to race with NHRA and IHRA combined! A dedicated sanctioning body for the diesel motorsports enthusiast, what more do you need? And since diesels are getting so popular with the mainstream, more opportunities keep arising every day for you all. This is just the beginning. We just signed a MAJOR sponsor for the drag racing series AND the sled pulling series. We will have that press release done next week. Damn this is exciting!

So what events do you have television coverage for in 2005?

Scott , looks like NHRA sure did you a great job of promoting you . You had good coverage on National TV during the NHRA sportsman shows , two or three articles in the NATIONAL DRAGSTER , and the opportunity to run in front of 100,000 fans , at two National events. The ability to display you car for your sponsor LUCAS Oil’s benefit , for four days. Congratulations your doing a first class job

I really have to give credit to Lucas Oil, as without them, I would not have had the midway display area, the chance to run Denver, Vegas and Pomona National events, and likely not getting the press in the Dragster twice this year. Their help in getting us these abilities is not just helping us, but really gave the whole diesel racers visibility.

Greg, you made a lot of ground by getting a diesel out in the S/S class, and we opened their eyes in Pomona with the 7 second pass. There were a lot of NHRA people asking "what the heck was that" after our run.

Everyone needs to just keep showing how fast and reliable these diesels are.

I totaly agree , Scott , NHRA is totaly wanting us , and the show we put on , we are so close to the goal of our super stock class , for diesels . Lucus is a total Class act , and is a great deal for racing

I agree, I have to commend Scott, Dustin and Greg for their ambassadorship to our sport. They exemplify the traits of hard working professionals dedicated to the emerging diesel motor sport world. Those runs (Pomona, Dallas) bought so much visibility, and were the instrumental catalysis in starting the dialogue w/the NHRA. Each time I talk w/the NHRA, I'm still amazed of the level of respect and high regard in which they hold for them “Outstanding performance in the field of excellence” Thanks to the Bentz team and Greg……

They did a really nice job showcasing Scheid's rail, and Edge's truck, the leaders in Diesel power/drag racing technology.

I especially liked them using Kents pulling truck at Canfield 4x4 Jamboree, last year, for visual effect!!
