Competition DHRA @ Pittsburgh Raceway Park(Keystone) - July 17th

Good news to all those in the points race but bad news for me. I blew my Head gasket last Friday night while thumping a Ford Lighting and a few 5. 0 Stangs as well. I might come out to take a few photo's of the race just the same but I am under threat of divorce if I race the Jetta TDI. :{ So I will make it if possible. This Opens up the points race to any one who has raced so far this season ans anyone who could take max points at the next 2 races. So come one come all make a race of it for the seasons ender next month after I get my head back from Piers upgraded to a stage 2 with O-rings as not to have this problem again.

Well drat the luck! And you were looking like a shoo-in for the championship! Hmmm. You might want to check with Andy, but I don't think you need to race *your* truck; the points go with the driver, not the vehicle. For example, if you brought a newspaper to read to pass the time on the strip, you could race my truck.

Points leadership will be up for grabs with this race of you don't compete. You've a solid points lead in your class. You have to at least try to maintain that commanding lead!

Just got off the phone with Frank Tedesco, owner of Pittsburgh Raceway Park, and he said for us to be there closer to noon so we can all get a good group parking spot.



If anyone gets lost or needs directions please give me a call. I should be there around 11:30 or so.

I will be there and will race if the invitation to use Niel's truck still holds. If not I will be there just the same with my camera to take lots of photos of all who make the race. Oo.

Well, what happened? Did they get the race in or did it get rained out? Tried like hell to get the day off to go but not able to. Is there a rain date if they didn't run? Thanks

Rained Out

Well Unfortunately the race was rained out.



We have the rain date tentatively scheduled for Saturday August 21st. I am to firm this up with Frank Tedesco, owner of Pittsburgh Raceway Park, early this week and I will then make the announcement.



A few of the guys have pics of the trucks that attended the race this weekend that hopefully will be posted soon. We had about 20 trucks attend even though there was the threat of rain.



So please lets all mark August 21st in our calendar and make it one great race.
