Competition New Tech Man In Water Box.....

i wish the dhra would change the work stock class to a 2. 5 inducer. i think that has to be the most ignorant class there is . the rule rule that you must run a stock turbo eliminates every truck from being competetive except for the the duramaxes and the 03 and newer cummins. i don't here any of the chevy guys complaining about the work stock class. if anyone should be whining about rule changes it should be the ford guys they aren't even close in any class

I thought LLY's had a 2. 55" inducer?

why does it matter if you run dual cp3's in the workstock class. chevy's dominate that class it would just cost you guys more money to beat each other. i'm not sure what the inducer on a d-max is,but the rules here in ohio say you have to have a 2. 5 or smaller inducer. the pull that i won had a mix of trucks in the top 5. my 98 12v, a 1st gen dodge, a 6. 0 ford and then 2 duramaxes. the duramaxes usually win the EEP street class around here, a guy named mcintosh is probably one of the most consistent. i don't think it is all about RPM as much as it is about suspension setup and the line you choose. i put 30ft on the duramaxes and was only turning 3500 RPM and my truck is capable of 5500rpm

I think if we look at the results below for the dhra street class at scheids we can see that the dual cp3's are not an advantage over a dodge with a built p-pump but rather levels the playing field. I assume Strothkamp is p-pumped? To me it looks like a pretty darn good mix of trucks, the way it should be.

1. Miller, Robert p-pump

2. Painter, Dan p-pump

3. Tomac, Micheal 2-cp3's

4. Coppess, Terry p-pump

5. Klempner, Jason 2-cp3's

6. Smith, Kyle 2-cp3's

7. Strothkamp, Jeff p-pump

8. Burkhard, Anthony 2-cp3's

9. Amos, Scott p-pump

10. Uptegraft, Ryan 2-cp3's

i can't wait to see what happens to the rules when someone p-pumps a 6. 7liter cummins next year. you all know someones gonna do it too!!!

A little off topic here but who would be the main guy to talk to about questions about some of the rules in the DHRA? I have a question or two I need to ask someone if I ever decide to come down to IRP or Schieds next year.

Thanks... Ryan
