Competition Rockingham?

Competition Funny post from a D-max guy

DHRA held its season finally points Sled Pull tonight in Shelbyville, Ky.

The house was packed, stands full, and back lot full of pulling trucks.

First up was the Super Street Class which featured hooks from Scheids Brad Ingram, "Off Constantly"-Curt Haisley, Razors Edge (Straley) etc.

TDR's very own Craig Severson's EEP maxed out and nearly put it in the dirt mound at the end of the track during the first(test) hook of the class.

Craig came back around later after the sled had been re-adjusted to take the win against a twin charged truck with his single equipped P7100'd 24v!

Congrats Craig.

Next up was the DHRA Street class.

Pullers like Gullet, Mahoney, George Peterson, Terry Coppess, Tracy Moore, Joe Carter, "Black Widow"

This was a pretty close class.

Chris Harness (Haisley Machine) took the win (someone correct me if I am wrong!).

Next up was the HOT Modified class.

This was the event of the night!

In attendance: Chris Watson's "Smokin" Ford, Erik Stacey, Eric Stingley,

Haisleys Rock Hard Ram, Terry Martin, Scheids Kent Crowder.

Kent took the win in this class! (only full pull in the class IIRC) All pullers did an excellent job!

After that was done Frank and the DT466 equipped pulling truck made an exhibition pass (no change to the sled) and was stopped around the 270' mark.

Huh? I guess he couldn't get the turbos lit again? :-laf

Congrats To Winners And Thanks To Dhra

CONGRATULATIONS TO KENT, BRAD & GENE FOR WINNING THE DHRA POINTS SERIES! IT HAS BEEN FUN YEAR! Oo.

THANK YOU TO DHRA (ERIC, DAN, GENE, NEAL AND ALL THE OTHERS) FOR HAVING THE SLED PULLING SERIES. I THINK THE FIRST YEAR HAS BEEN A SUCCESS. MAYBE WE CAN CHANGE A FEW THINGS TO MAKE NEXT YEAR EVEN BETTER! MAYBE... . WE CAN FIND A "BIG" SPONSOR!! WE'LL HAVE TO KEEP LOOKING!

WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THE TRACK CREW AT SHELBYVILLE FOR LAYING DOWN A NICE TRACK!

VAN, PATTY & CURT HAISLEY

Maybe we could get the Haisleys to put some pictures of under the hoods of some of their trucks in their readers rigs section. :-laf

What place did that Mahoney guy come in ?

BBD

He wasn't there, but I came out 1 foot in front of George, at his HOME track!! That was worth getting 4th.

What makes it all the more special, was a challenge from one of Georges buddies 2 years ago when I was running twins. . "You take one turbo off, and come down to Shelbyville, and we'll see how you do then!" :D

That class was getting to the point where tossing a coin would be better odds on who was going to beat who, than anything else. 4-6 trucks were dang close.
