Competition IRP drag racing results?

Competition Where to find a Transbrake?

Gene... wtf?? I've never tried to run a pull in my life. I don't recall calling any of the Muncie shows anything but good. Well, maybe the last one..... hmmmm.

CMNS PWR-Whatever, I don't have any idea about what you're saying. But I do know that 2 trucks for sure made it through tech with atleast 1 serious safety violation. And they had had no logbook?? In fact, it was their first DHRA pull, this year anyways. I think I have enough facts.

I agree Justin. I don't think any pull can out-do Tampico. Free admission, GOOD food that is REASONABLY priced, always a good track, LOTS of people there to see a good show. Grassy Fork VFD knows how to put on an awesome show that a family can afford to go to. I guess Hazelwood is similar to Tampico... I 've never been there. Free admission and a very large crowd.

Do you count yours as good running?? :-laf :-laf :-laf

GOOD POINT... ... . DONT KNOW YET. BUT JUDGEING BY HOW MY LAST TRUCK RAN,I WOULD SAY YES IT WILL BE A STRONG TRUCK. BUT JUSTIN I DID STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND BUILD A TRUCK TO PULL IN A BIG CLASS ON VERY LIMITED BUDGET COMPARED TO MOST. IM NOT DOWNING ANYBODYS TRUCK DUE TO THE FACT MOST OF THE TRUCKS AT IRP AND TAMPICO ARE STRONG TRUCKS. BUT IF I DONT LIKE A PULL I JUST DONT GO TO IT ANYMORE ----NOT BASH IT ON THE INTERNET. MY UNDER STANDING IS TAMPICO IS A GOOD PULL BUT ALOT OF IRP IS ABOUT BEING AROUND ALOT OF GOOD PEOPLE FOR A LONG WEEKEND AND I MYSELF DONT WANT TO GIVE THAT UP. HAD MY TRUCK NOT BROKE I MYSELF WAS GONNA TRY TO GET TO TAMPICO. NOT THAT ANYBODY WANTED TO SEE A TRUCK PULL 5 FEET AND BREAK BUT WHAT THE HECK. LOL. I STILL THINK DHRA DID THE BEST ANYBODY COULD DO UNDER THE CONDITIONS.

Dave,

I don't doubt your truck is strong and will have great runs in the future but you came off like all the trucks that went to tampico were crap and that is not the case at all.

There was no advertising for Tampico other than a small blurb on truck pull central and thats it.

I am not here to say one pull is better than the other but I think one organization can stand to learn (YES LEARN) how a pull should operate.

Yes it is hilljack and back woods but its a hell of a lot better time if you ask me.

No stupid golf carts and silk shirts :-laf :-laf (gimme a break)

A lot of the reasons people get frustrated have already been mentioned and since no one can stand any constructive criticism the point is moot (and I'll shut up now).

Dave-That's a bummer you haven't got a hook on it yet. Looks like you did a great job on it.

LMAO... . silk shirts. I think the silky shirts would get you beat up at Tampico. If Gene's cocky, arrogant attitude didn't!

Pot, this is kettle. :-laf

Constructive criticism isn't *****ing on some internet forum. I feel there are a couple ways DHRA can improve their program, but I'm not gonna whine on here about it. I've emailed Gene with my list. I encourage you to do the same. Things missed at tech, email the tech guy. Like to see things a little differently with the pulls or drags, shoot an idea to McBride or Gene. They may take some ideas and run with em, they may say "thanks" and move on. They've got to do whats best for their program in their eyes; But every input helps.

It is a little frustrating though, to see all this whining and complaining with no real suggestions to remedy the complaints. If you think something could've been improved upon, enlighten. Dont just pick things apart. Especially those who didn't even roll a truck down the track.

Just look at what happened with the gate situation over last year. I cruzed right in this year, no problemo. Great improvement. Case in point. :)

Hard to top that one..... the crowd was un real. :--)

how in the heck do you make any money with free admission???? Of course the crowd was unreal. If irp was free thered be 50,000 in the stands, and 40,000 of them wouldnt know the diference between diesel and gasoline.

You'd have to sell alot of fish sandwiches... ... ... ..... are you all coming to Reedsville for the DHRA pull? Your paying 10 bucks to get in if you do, and theres no fish sandwiches, unless Dave catches alot more fish :-laf
