Competition Mission Raceway truck issues resolved

Well I had a great time, just so many cars there at Maple Grove that it makes for a long day.

Tim's truck is flat out fast, :--) if he would have had a full pass I think he could have gotten into the 10's easily. Not bad for his first time out.

Merv, I hope you enjoyed the wedding gift I gave you in the first round :D Darn relays #@$%! That won't happen again.

Chris, good thing you brought the trailer huh? Wish I could have seen the expressions on the crowds face, watching you hook up to your goose neck trailer, with the truck on it, after just making a 12 second pass :-laf

Thanks to all of you that showed up in support of the DHRA, and a special thanks to all of you that helped push me off the starting line.

Look foward to seeing you all at Pittsburg. Tim, Merv, bring your "A" game, as I am going to step the truck up little ;)

I needed to sleep just a bit. I got home 4:30 Sunday morning!

The results and story are posted on the DHRA site. As soon as I find a compatible flash card reader, I'll get the winners' pics posted.

Neil...

Since Mike isn't a memeber yet (if your reading mike you need to join) i will point out that he ran a 13. 8something when he blew the head gasket.

And i'm from Kent Island, not Chesapeake Beach. :D

That's all i noticed that needed changing. Sorry for nit-picking.

Ted,

Yeah, it worked out well that i had the trailer along. I'm glad Merv didn't need it, and i'm sorry that Mike did. At least we had it there to get mike's truck to Proram's for repair.

I had lots of fun. Hopefully someone has some pics they can post.

Later,

chris

Oops. Too many tech cards to look at. Billy's from CB. I've adjusted the web page. The tower log only has the elimination runs. :(

I had a blast, just like last time. A big thanks to Ted and Merv for putting up with all my questions. I've got a couple of pics that I hope to post tomorrow. Most of them are of my slow turd, but I think I've got one or two of some other guys.

Thanks also to the DHRA for getting everybody together and Neil for all his work.

Dave

Yeah, my FASS installer installed a defective relay, I think it was sabotage cause he did't want me to put that North Carolina truck on its trailer.

Their is no warranty in race applications,Tim says you were going on the trailer as soon as he saw the wife get in the truck sat morning opps nuts left wife came.

At least my truck was legal :-laf

I'll make sure Melissa doesn't cook for you guys, or run your video camera next time either. :D

Ted

Thanks Ted. I didn't put the best picture up here. I've got a pic of me lined up against Billy. On the tree, my light is green... but I'm not movin'. No smoke... nuthin'. That must of been the time I checked both ways before crossin' the street. :-laf

Maybe if I didn't have a reaction time equal to everybody else's E. T. I might do a little better at these get-togethers. Oh well... even though I'm slow as Christmas I still have fun.

Best of luck to you guys that will be out in Pittsburgh this weekend.

Hey Dave,

The Pittsburgh Raceway Park race is rescheduled for Saturday September 18th, not this coming weekend.

See if you guys can make it out there with us for that race.

You make me laugh. I remember when you showed up at Maple Grove for the last race and you weren't even going to race and NOW you're hooked... :-laf

Goes to show you, it doesn't matter what kind of E. T. or MPH you run, it is all just good clean fun...

Hope to see you on September 18th...

Andy,

Sorry you missed out on the fun. Yeah... it's kinda funny how I started off never intending to race, and now I've done it a couple of times. Unfortunately, my racin' days are done until I get a new clutch. I burnt it up pretty good my last run (I know I'm slow... but a 20 second pass is even slow for me). Oh well... I keep tellin' myself that it'll grow back if I baby it for a little while.

If you want to buy me a new dual-disc clutch (of my choosing) and have it installed before Sept. 18, then HELL YEAH I'll be there ;) . Otherwise, I'm gonna have to pass.

Hope you guys have a good turnout,

Dave

Had an awesome day at the races

Thankyou Ted, for the wedding gift. I'm sure if the relay hadn't quit. You'd be gritting your teeth ,wishing a thorough ass whipping upon me. Tim I really enjoyed racing you, that race was the high light of my day. After that mojo launch I put on you ,lesser men would have just given up. Even though I lost, this Heavy Pro Street racer running #2 only against, your much lighter Modified racer,in a heads up race, I'm extremly pleased with the way I ran. Tim thankyou for coming up and raising the bar. Chris thankyou for bringing the trailer. I thought it was pretty awesome to race all day,get it into the 12s hookup to a trailer and load up a truck. You could not do that with any other vehicle. I also wanted to thank all that contributed to a great day of racing. Merv
