Diablo Power Puck

I have a friend that wants to sell me his power puck. He claims it makes 60 HP. Is this just a renamed EZ? He offered it for $100. Is it worth it. I am sick of the bucking of the Edge Comp and I will send it back if this thing is a good alternative. Thanks, Greg

$100 sounds like a steal. It won't put out near the power as the edge comp but will be closer to the edge ez or VanAaken. It is not a re-badged ez. It is in a fancy round cast metal housing. That's why the call it a "puck".

I tried a Puck on my truck and liked it. For $100 I'd snatch it in a heartbeat.



I am trying to sell a van Aaken in the classifieds but they are not the hot ticket right now. I was asking $350 delivered but I may be asking too much, haven't had any bites on it yet. I am wanting a different fueling box with more fuel curve control because the van Aaken fuels right off throttle and with it being so hot here in the summer (over 100F quite a bit) it is hard to accelerate with any speed without making lots o' smoke. Since I run long oil drain intervals I don't want to soot up my oil.

I will try and get it from him. I ran the V A and loved it. I went to the Edgd Comp and have had four of them on the truck. I seem to have a problem with the programing. My truck bucks all the time on level one. Fred Swanson is the guy I bought it from and he swears Edge has a fix for it. I was supposed to get it two weeks ago. Saw the UPS driver fly by today. Still no new box. These guys are pi$$ing me off. I am going to send it all back and run just the DDII's until I get a smaller box. Wish they would clear all of this up. The Puck is a triangle Map sensor. I need a flat.

Greg, have you considered trying the UFM. It is the same as a Comp but with slightly different programming. Maybe that programming would agree with your truck more. My truck is fine on all levels. Just a suggestion.

Just bear in mind it will be no where near as powerful as the COMP is/was.

Just to clear a little thing up. I have tried both the Comp and the UFM boxes. I talked to AAron at Edge today and he has a fix and sent it today. Second day air to me. I went with the DD UFM/Drag box. The Puck is a Triangle map sensor and I need a flat. I realy love the power I get from the comp and DD!!'s. I will be getting a turbo soon. Two to three weeks maybe. Waiting on a new one. Soon to be revealed.



Kat, Have you tried the B1 with the small housing? Just wondering if is faster on spool up than the HX 40? Greg

Not yet, waiting on more housings to come in. I have the AT-4. . which spools nice, but I want the B1 for temperture drops.

I think BD told me that if its the 2nd generation or newer VA they can reflash it to change the RPM that timing / fuel comes on at.

May be worth the call?

Greg, I would get the box. Lots of guys have been making adapters for the different plugs. . Or call the company that makes the Power Puck they should be able to fill you in on the missing info... (Edge has exchange if it is the wrong year. . might be the same for the company that makes the Puck???)
