Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Diagnostic Codes PO753 & P1765

Can anyone tell me what these two error codes (PO753 & P1765)are? The dealer is closed this weekend, so I was hoping that I could find out before Monday. The problem I've been having with the truck has been the engine surging when I put it into drive (sometimes killing it completely. ) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here ya go.........

P0753 Trans 3-4 shift sol/trans relay ckts



An open or shorted condition detected in the transmission 2-4 shift solenoid circuit (4 speed trans only)



P1765 (2 listed)



Trans 12 volt supply relay control circuit



1) An open or shorted condition is detected in the transmission relay control circuit. This relay supplies power to the TCC.



2) Current state of solenoid output port is different than expected (4 speed auto trans only)

I have ALLDATA DIY for my 2001, here is what it says:



p0753- trans 3-4 shift solenoid/trans relay circuits

an open or shorted condition detected in the transmission 3-4 shift solenoid circuit (4 spd auto only)



P01765-trans 12 volt supply relay control circuit

Current state of solenoid output prt is different than expected

( 4 spd auto only)
