Love my new polished diamond plate running boards. But ( there is always a but). Does anyone out there know of a good product that keeps polished aluminum shinning? Most polished aluminum after about 6 monthes turns dull.
This is the best stuff I've ever used, and it takes a whole lot less time than the other products, especially the pastes. Discovered it at the Portland Roadster Show a few years ago.
Never used it myself... but I do plan to one of these days!
There is a company up here that makes roo bars for heavy trucks as well as light ones. They offer the Nyalic coating as an option from the factory as well as sell it to the general public. Unfortunately I can't get their website to come up right now-but the URL is www.aliarc.com . Nyalic has a website too at www.nyalic.com . Also I'm sure that Eastwood used to sell it-but I can't find it on their website right now.
Dad and I are fabbing an aluminum headache rack for my truck now-I'm gonna try the Nyalic on it when it's done as I'm way too lazy to polish all the time . Might be a while-but I'll let you know how it works! Maybe someone else on here has tried it?
Go to a large truck stop, they will have aluminum wheel cleaner and polish. Use a power polisher, and it will still be a lot of work. Keep well waxed and it will probably last a year.
