So as many of you know I am a from the top guy when it comes to changing my oil filter. I would say it's a good thing I am as I discovered something that could have left me along side the road. Covered with a unused boost hose. I will show the Dealer and see if they will replace under warranty.

Also I am wondering should the intake air be directed from the fender when the engine is off then opens to the grill intake when started under normal conditions? Pic below.

Seems like my intake hose in the fender is attached at each end not loose as some have mentioned.

Also here is a pic of my rear diff at 60k.

Changed the CCV, Geno's sent a bag of gaskets etc along with the filter. I assume they are for pre dEF trucks?

I changed both fuel filters, air filter, oil rear dif, trans, transfer case and filter and CCV. Trans had 30k but everything else was at 15k.

Did you figure out what was laying on the coupler to rub it like that?........maybe us "thru the gender guys" won't have the problem because we haven't unnecessarily removed the piping and inadvertently reinstalled it wrong....causing the problem??o_O

I'll have to look at mine tonight......thanks for the heads up......

Sam

The Ram Air box normally draws air from the fender and based upon sensor and engine load demand, simultaneously open front air inlet while closing the fender air inlet door. I have a thread on this, but haven't found details about exactly what activates where the box draws air from.

Interesting what you found on the rest of your post. Old school me from experience of blowing off turbo boost hose is to check tightness of clamps. I'll add inspecting hoses to my list.
