On another forum a gentleman was giving a lady advice on buying a truck and stated with certainty that Dodge was the best as it now has the Allison trans.



I have been out of the loop a bit did I miss something?

My wife has a Chevy Trailblazer 4x4. There is a Trailblazer Forum that I read from time to time but most of the people that post there seem to know nothing and repeat things they "heard" which are pretty funny sometimes. Recently someone was going on about how wonderful the "Allison" transmission shifted in his Trailblazer. He went on and on about the strength and durability. Now that was news to me. My wife's 4x4 does shift nice but if it's an Allison they sure shrunk it down to fit. :-laf

That was what I found humous about this guy he as so sure he knew what was up and even stated that the CTD was a 5. 7L V6 and if he ever get a truck that is what he will get.

No allison and after going with my son in law towing his boat up and down hills, I am glad I don't have the allison in my dodge
