Did the Germans own Dodge during WWII??

I was watching the "Guns of Navarone" and( made in 1961) the Germans were driving DODGE P/U trucks . .



Big large letters "DODGE" on the tailgate.



Now is this just "Hollywood" with bad vehicle taste or what?????

Actually... Dodge was created by the Dodge brothers. They started building bicycles. Then they started building motors for Ford. As time progressed they ended up building four wheel drive systems for Ford. Eventually... Ford sold them. The rest is history.

They made Parts for all the auto car makers. They were two sharp guys. And Henry Ford almost was concider a trader to United States over Germany. He ran for present of the United States but got beat In the primaries. He was not well liked and had a lot of enemies In high places.
