What is the difference between the high density foam mentioned in the article and the "memory foam" used in products found in back support stores???

When I got my truck a couple months ago, I noticed that the driver seat sunk in alot more than the passenger side. Upon inspection I noticed that ALL the little spring wires were broke right where they bend them around the rods. So what I did was just pop the plastic clips off the steel seat frame, pealed back the fabric and foam, and removed the 2 rods and the wires. Next I got some of that spring steel "banding iron" that they strap the lumber bundles with, and replaced the wires with these strips of spring banding. Just bent the ends and folded them over the rods, made them exactly the same length as the wires were and it is better than new. I used one band for every 2 wires, as that is about the same spacing as the wires. Since I have done mine a few guys at work have seen this and done it also. These things will never brake again.
