Did the dealer fix it yet? Was it confirmed to be the KDP?

It was a VP44 failure. Not kdp. fixed by Stealer under warranty

Did they say what happened to it? Just seize up? Did it dump any fuel into the oil as a result of failure? Being these pump failures are almost as frequent as the lift pump failures, one does not know if there is a ticking time bomb under the hood.

Well the truck is my friends. He was pretty vauge about what they did. Said that it needed grid heater gaskets. I think the wiz at dodge beat them up taking off the intake. The Mechanic said it was the drive chain. I know it is gear driven. He could tell us what he thought went wrong but he is a jacka$$ Gas car mechanic with a service manual. Wish I had more info for you. All I know is the truck runs fine now. Thanks, Greg
