Archived Did the VP44 just die??

I am posting this for a coworker who has an 01 all stock that will not start. He says that he is not getting any power to the lift pump but I have not checked myself to verify. He does have multiple counts each of codes: p251, p252, p1688, p1689, and p1690. I am thinking his vp died but want to verify before telling him to order a new one. Thanks in advance.

A dead lift pump will cause the VP44 to die. If the lift pump is dead and has been that way a long time, there is a good chance that the VP44 is dead now too.



I am thinking that the truck may not start if the lift pump is completely dead, but if the VP44 is ok, the truck would most likely still start. I would start with the lift pump and move to the VP44.
