Yes thats right, it has been determined that off road diesels are responsible for 4 million tons of pollutants and cost $67 billion in health benefits annually, this according to an article in the LA TIMES, front section, page A16. See also my other post under diesel topics, off road diesel.

Actually we could probably save many more lives if we just banned the internal combustion engine (except for government use). Just think, no more highway accidents. And people would be walking more and getting more excercise. Just think how much better it would be. #ad

2 things...

I'd like to point out: Firstly, this story comes from California. We can pretty much ignore anything THEY have to say about environmental issues... nothing but fruits and nuts running CA. studies. Secondly, if America would STOP spending MY money on subsidized housing and free cheese and corrupt polititians and STOP spending MY money on life sentences for the sick *******s that NEED to be erased from MY world... and spend MY money on fixing the dang roads and comming up with better diesel technology like the REST of the planet, then we wouldn't have to give any credence to any of these rediculous enviro-studies. OK, off soap box... . boy, I do feel better! ... this group therapy works wonders!

Off-road diesels... . let's see what would that include..... tractors, combines, military vehicles, navy and coast guard ships... . how many lives would be lost without them
