May not last long though!

It was $2. 89 in Death Valley (Furnace Creek) this weekend. I packed along 20 gals. from Las Vegas just in case and it payed off!!

$1. 35 at a little convenience store in Wallis,Texas (south of Sealy on Hwy-36) I asked how long he would stay at that price,He said till he couldn't stand it anymore. :--) Oo.

Was 1. 80 here in utah and now in some parts, it is down to 1. 66 almost overnight. My mom said the price per barrell went down due to the oil wells being secured by the troops.

This is good news, as I leave on a cross-country trip next week. I just looked through all the big truck stop chains' web pages, and they all reflect a significant drop in prices nationwide since the last time I checked. I had been a little concerned about the prices peaking just in time for this trip, but it looks like they'll be back down at more reasonable levels.

It's all over the place around here. Yesterday I saw it range from $1. 65 to $1. 54 - depending on the place. I thought $1. 61 was good at a place I passed at 10:30am, so I planned to fill on the way back. By 5:00pm it was down to $1. 56. I only needed 15 gallons, but I couldn't resist filling after paying $1. 79 10 days ago. It's finally equal to reg. unleaded here.

Don't ask me how these places stay in Buisness, but within 2 miles (2 exits on a Major Interstate) the 1st exit has 3 stops ranging from 1. 99-2. 14 a gallon.



The very next exit (2 miles away) is 1. 73 a gallon. Where do u think I buy my Diesel... ... .
