hey dan i put my new fass pump on. . same as the other 1 idles at like 18 drops to around 8... changed the fuel filters what should i do now?? i checked with a different guage same results... let me know thanks

DPP makes a 1/2 Suction Tube Kit part # STK-1001 That bypasses the 1/4 factory fuel line that your currently trying to suck through

I installed one on my 99 and it helped out a lot.

opps i just noticed you have a draw straw

Now im stumped

Is your line free from getting pinched inbetween anything??

when i took my fass off of my 97 i noticed that it was pnched inbetween the frame and fuel tank, so i had good PSI at idle but not at WOT

Dan,

My fuel pressure is around 14 to 15 psi @ idle, but lately I have noticed that my full throttle pressure drops to 8 psi. Before June 2007, I couldn't get the wide open pressure to ever drop below 12 psi.

I have an HPFP that was installed last fall, I have changed both filters, I just had my Juice Module updated recently & tried the new fuel pressure sender that came back with it. The fuel pressures remain the same. The temperatures around Utah have been alot hotter than normal, & I am wondering if maybe the heat is causing the drop. I don't know if diesel can get really thin at the higher temperatures?

I have the same issue with mine (95/150). It did not do it when new and new filters made no difference. The pump is also very quiet so I don't suspect any inlet restriction. When new, it would not move off about 16 PSI... . now it fluctuates with throttle load. I am reading pressure with a westach gauge and have read on the pressure port on the FASS as well as the inlet to the VP44. I have never noticed pressure ranges from 22 to about 10 PSI.

I also seem to have priming issues as well. From the initial install, I cannot get the pump to prime unless I pre-fill the filters.

ok so if i get the Mr. Gasket Barb Fuel Pressure Gauge Fitting what are the reading i need to be seeing will they be the same as my others or higher or lower?

DAN have you recieved my pump yet??? hope so. . it hasnt been a good weekend my electric fuel pressure guage the sensor thing quit working and i tried to put my mechanical 1 in and i got every thing hooked up but i cant seem to get all the air out of it or something so i am gonna try to get a new thing from auto meter i am keeping both guages hook up is this ok since 1 is that jegs part and the other is in the injection pump?? let me know thanks
