Have any of you used Diesel Dynamics larger fuel line kit? It is the line kit that goes from the lift pump to the filter then to the inj pump on the 24 valve. I have DDIIs and a EZ and just replaced the stock lift pump. I can still see only 6 psi at WOT. I would feel better with more pressure.

Of those that have used the lines, what were your results?

DIESEL DYNAMICS KIT NUMBER DFLK01

Chris, I received an E-mail reply this morning from Keith Lockliear @ Diesel Dynamics. His response included, "... The line kit you are hearing about is bigger fuel lines from the lift pump to the fuel filter cannister, then from the cannister to the VP44 pump. The kit is part # DFLK01 and sells for $180. "

I too see my fuel pressure drop when I hold my right foot down. Especially when I'm in 4-6 and heading up a long incline. I wonder if anything is gained by the larger (volume) size of the fuel lines.

I did'nt notice the drop until I added the EDGE- EZ fitting onto the turbine. Is this mental or what!?!

Any feedback from others would be appreciated on this fuel line upgrade. Thanks... ... ... ... .

:D :D :D :D :D

Put the Big Line kit on our truck about 4-5 months ago. I did notice about a 1 PSI increase over the stock lines, but i didn't do it for any performance increase, rather security.

suggest that the fuel lines will not help the low pressure... you might want to go and warranty the new pump as it's probably not in spec... . but the DDII's and EZ are not helping the pressure issue at all. . however that said the lines do allow more fuel flow from the filter to the injector pump. . but the same line size is from the tank to the in side of the filter...

IMHO your best option is a lift pump to the tank with aftermarket lift pump like a PE 4200 and larger lines [either -6 or -8]. .

I'm going to install my PE4200 and -8 from tank all the way to the injector pump without lowering line size [aftermarket filter also -8 in and out]

back when I did the -6 from hard line to lift pump / filter and injector pump i did feel SOP meter increased power [just a bit]. . never dyno'ed it

We recommend the line kit at about 350hp. At that level, assuming the stock lift pump is working well, we are able to get down to about 2psi. Adding the line kit adds about 5-6psi then.

At 425hp, we recommend the pump pump kit. At that level, we never see less than 9-10psi at WOT.
