May Madness & Amsoil

Wheelin' In Moab UT

Diesel dynamics has bailed on May Madness this year and I cannot help but wonder whut's up with that???

Not only will their shop NOT be open, but from what Keith said, they will not even be running at the track with us.

This seems like such a slap in the face to me. Anyone else have a take on this?

For a high performance company to boycott a event in their own front yard is the equifelent of giving us the bird. Man, what did I do???

I can't speak for them, other than what I have been told. Lawrence is still working on major improvements for the 2003 and doesn't want to show up with no more than the usual box + injectors + turbo predictable package.

I was somewhat disappointed last year with how few people expressed any thanks for their free dyno runs.

Meanwhile several customer trucks and Jim Fuller's sponsored truck will maintain a presence.

A Birdie Told Me

I was at the race track working on the mutha of all dozen valve motors while you guys were down there yukking it up. We can see where your priorities are:rolleyes:

But I heard that there were many performance devices sold to make the dyno time worthwhile outside of a hug and a kiss. So, why not assess a charge for dyno time? Is that not what we will be doing at Silverstate Motorsports???

MM'03

I talked to PDR yesterday and it didn't sound like they would make it either. The offical word is that they are undecided at this time, what a bummer:{

Piers promised today to try his best to attend. He said he has to put a fresh engine in his 1994. I told him that now with Sickly being so weakened and tired it is a good time for him to dyno, especially with his fresh engine and all his good parts in it

Stir, stir, stir the pot Oo.

nowell speaking of a slap in the face what about last year when dyno runs were free and you "mr horsepower" must have gotten lost and ended up at a dyno behind closed doors and then brought the numbers to pahrump trying to brag about them. yee haa you won your own dyno event last year. personally i don't blame a high performance company to avoid such a event if high performance people like yourselves avoid the event.

Good first post Mr. Nash.

Truth is that if someone would have taken the time to suggest my presence at DD would have been appreciated I certainly would have gladly abliged. Furthermore, I no longer use their injectors in my race truck so I'm not sure I'm such a great draw for them anyway. After all, Fuller is their poster boy.

However, I was not there to dyno my truck actually. I was there to work on an engine, and then race on Sunday. As it transpired the work on the engine was called short due to some unrelated circumstances. The next thing was to get Chris Sutton's truck on the dyno to see if the Nos was working. Although it was late and

Mike had indicated he didn't want to put in a full day, he agreed to put my truck on the dyno. So we did.

By the way, the dyno testing was not behind closed doors as you have exagerated. A number of people were still there when we ran my truck. The dyno was open to the public to anyone who had the cash to cover the charge.

In the interests of accuracy, DD's reasoning for not participating this year had nothing to do with the content of your post according to Keith.

i wish everyone the best at mm this year. my wife has been put on strict bedrest for the next 8-10 weeks. we will do whatever it takes to have a healthy set of twins, so mm and muncie are out for me this year. this should be a great year for broken parts. i can't wait to hear all the reports.

Competition???

First of all congrats, Jim Fuller I didn't think you had it in you!!:D ( the twins I mean). Kinda like your turbos. . Twins "get it ? Better stop , Heber's on a roll. Everyone in the know, knows the real competition starts in the parking lot at Blaire Pines trailer! It's pretty easy to beat me at the dyno, or at the track. By Hell, I will not go down at Blaire's without a fight!!!

Steve

Congratulations Jim, I think this set of twins is going to be a tad more work but just as much or more fun than your old set.

Steve you are out of control, save yourself a little time on the old key board and leave the e out of Blair. LOL I don't need any more letters in my name I have enough trouble with my spelling as it is. ;)

Change your name!

Blair... Sorry about the "E" thing. I know a guy up here, who spells his name with an "E". In fact, in order to help me, would you please change your name, say to Blaireeee? :D :D Oh, by the way Happy Birthday Blair: 40yrs young. Keep it up, and you will reach Gary & Me.

Steve

P. S. NOS is good.

No worries on the E thing I just thought you ougt to know EH. Thanks for the Happy B Day greetings. See ya next week.
