Ok now that I got some time to post, I am sure Bob is right, that Stefan has one. They have not been released to the general public as far as I know. Sounds like a good thing, just another thing to put on the wish list.

I've got one... . and doing the r&d now... have had for about 1-1/2 months now... very possitive results... approx. 60hp gain. More in the works after more testing.

After spending the time I did at DD with Lawrence and Mark, I can see why it wasn't released to the public yet. They want to be absolutely positve its a worthy and durable upgrade! Its like that with all their products..... it all works as advertised when released.

Hot Rod VP44

I just wanted to chime in and mention for your amusement that the modded VP44 was first mentioned to me waaaaaaaaaay back in "99. Lawrence mentioned it even before they had the doors open at DD. Somehow I think Joe [CENSORED] is responsible for the slow pace at which the Hot Rod

44 pump has been R & D'd. Wait till he finds out that tubes have been replaced by transistors!

Does this pump give an additional 60 hp with boxes or just by its self. Would this pump plus an ez equal a comp box? Would you gain any hp with this pump and a comp? I'm just trying to figure out if this pump gives more hp in the same way the boxes do that tap the wire. What I mean is if you have a box that already taps the wire would you gain any hp with this injection pump?

HVAC..... you mean tubes to chips!!!lol The testing involves primarly breakin, mileage and if course sufficient fuel ie. , pusher pump. These things will be expensive, trust me I know... They are very sensitive and the parts required have to be machined perfectly. . So far so good, I have about 4,000 miles on it with no problems... The set-up will allow you to fuel larger injectors, therefore, more power... . I will be re-modifiying my head gasket ( for the 4th. time ) hopefully, the last ?????? Right HVAC???



Once that is done, we'll be able to re-dyno with different combinations to give more acurate HP numbers with the modifed pump.

So how does this thing respond to ETH v/s ETC engines?

Ramafid... The modified pump puts out 60+ HP over by itself... . I have an ETH HO 6-sp and with Super Mental injectors, it put out 65HP more then with the stock pump and Super Mentals... When you add the Edge Comp Box it jumped another 90HP or say in the 550 HP range... on DF#2 only. We haven't done a comparison, say with DD1's, DD2's or DD3's yet... we should get around 50HP on the low side... This pump is designed to push more fuel, so larger injectors won't starve, thus producing more potential power. Mark at Diesel Dynamics is testing this pump on his ETC and getting simular results... The noticable gain is when you run bigggggg injectors!!! The pump is capable of pushing a lot of fuel therefore, a pusher pump is required. Because I blew my head gasket and installed a 12v marine . 020

gasket, it lowered my compression. . I did lose some HP with this set-up. ( like trying to make an ETH like an ETC) The pump didn't like this??? Going to redo the head gasket back to 24v and hope to gain back some loss HP. You have to remmember the VP-44 on a ETH is different then on an ETC so the performance gain may end up being slightly different... That's what R&D is all about.

Before Diesel Dynamics starts to market these pumps, futher testing is required... These modified pumps aren't cheap and probably won't have any warranty... Much like other high performance stuff, injectors, turbo's etc.



So far the results are very promising!!!

It now gives those that have a VP-44 type pump the ability to keep up with the P7100's... (watch-out Joe D. the king of the mountain is soon to fall... No drugs either!!!!)

Ok man, so whats the deal, do you have any idea when these MIGHT be hitting the market or what, can we get in line now, are they preselling them, i could really use another 65 hp right now. Are these going to be exchange or are they planning on selling new units outright, sorry for the questions, but im drooling man, throw a dog a bone.
