Any one have any comments on the Diesel Dynamics pump kits. Looking at a lot of posts and the TST plates seem to be the choice. MY truck is a 95, 3500, 120 k miles,Auto, gauges, stock plate adjusted. New DDT transmission and full 4" exhaust next week so it time to up the power. I am trying to set the truck up for towing with around 250 Hp.

sorry but i dont know anything about the diesel dynamics pump kit but a #5 tst fuel plate will put you at 255 horsepower and 650ftlbs of torque.

The 95 auto will be a 160hp rated truck. Stock, ~145 - 150hp/350ft-lbs. That kit will add 75-90rwhp/225ft-lbs. Should put you at about 240hp/575-600ft-lbs with an otherwise stock truck. No gauges needed at that power level.

Keith, is there different HP pump kits that you sell . When the kit is installed could I add your injectors at a later date with out making any additional adjustment to the pump. Thanks for your reply.

Nope, we only sell one kit. Depending on the engine it is put in, it will make different power gains though:

94-96 160hp: Kit gains 75-90hp/225ft-lbs

94-98 180hp: Kit gains 60hp/150ft-lbs

96-98 215hp: Kit gains 50hp/125ft-lbs

All numbers to the wheels.

No changes would have to be made when installing injectors later, other than maybe adjusting the aneroid to set the smoke/responsiveness where you want it.

keith I disagree, with ya timing is an important issue to figure into the equation... ... . also as I have learned /i would consider having a pro just run the pump on a stand

370's

Hi, since were on the upgrading subject, I have a 97 auto, am going to do a s/c tqconverter and valvebody, already have a 230 plate, 4k gov springs, afc kit. am thinking of adding 370 marine injectors, what hp gain could i expect ? and would i have to make other adjustments or mods to get close to 400hp. tia Ian:D

Brandon, certainly "tuning" can be done to virtually any 12v when mods are done. But just adding injectors to an otherwise stock truck with a different cam plate will not REQUIRE anything. Would timing changes help? Quite possibly, but that was not the question at hand.

yes you are absolutely correct, but we would both agree that tuning would make the truck better overall.

B... .
