It seems the Edge EZ is by far the most widely used box by members of the group. Is there a reason you are not using the DD TTPM? I live in Las Vegas and DD is local. Are the claims for more HP and torque than DD TTPM true or is it just marketing hype??

Thanks... Paul...

Paul,

Go down to DD and tell Keith you want to demo the TTPM. 5 minutes later you'll be on the streets seeing if you like it or not. I did the same thing last Thursday; as soon as I got back they took out the "loaner" box and installed my brand spankin new box along with the boost fooler elbow.

The TTPM is supposed to have a little milder curves than the EZ but they are basically the same. The TTPM is made to work real well with DD injectors which you may end up doing once you see how much fun it is to drive with the added 50hp the TTPM will give you.

So far, I love mine, can't believe how much more response I get out of my 99 (WAY better towing than stock)

I highly recommend it.

I would double check with DD but I think one of the differences is in the settings:

DDTTPM=timing only, timing & full fuel @ 10 psi, timing & full fuel @ 20psi

Edge EZ= Timing & full fuel @ 3psi, timing & full fuel @ 10psi, Timing & full fuel @ 20psi

Buy the DD unless you like timing hammer and additional noise. Power output of the two is essentially the same. If you are going to run medium to large injectors buy the DD for sure. While you are there ask why they made the changes they did to the timing, there is a very valid reason. I would not own another EZ.

EDIT: the EZ is used in such large nuimbers because it had a LONG ride as the flavor of the week box, there have been some darn good sale prices on them, and Edge has very good customer service. DD basically says pay full price and buy it from me or too bad.

Without blinking.....

Got to agree with LSMITH and the pen and paper. I've had my DDTTPM in for 20k+ miles now and my fuel consumption is averaging 18mpg (US gallon) equating to 21mpg (imperial gallon) which equates to 11liters/100km, which just about covers every known measurement going. :D

About 20% of that 20k mileage was with my Lance 1130 camper on board with an all up weight of 12,500 pounds or a just over 6 metric tons.

My truck details are appended in the profile below and I'm very happy with the performance and the trade-off for fuel economy and I would do it all over again without hesitation.

Physically, they are the same. The differences are in the programming and adjustment levels, as mentioned above.

BarryG, setting 2 is timing/fuel @ 20psi, setting 3 is timing/fuel at 3psi.
