Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Just installed my True Torque Power Module from Diesel Dynamics last night. This was my 2nd TTPM that I've bought from them - the first was for an 01' that I've since sold.
AS always, the guys at DD were helpful with questions and Keith had the product out to me in a flash. THANKS AGAIN KEITH!
The install was simple and took me about 5 minutes. I like the new hard plastic emblem that DD is putting on their box. The one for my 01' was simply a sticker.
I left the setting of the TTPM on their factory level of 3 which is supposed to give 50 added HP. I could definitely feel the difference driving once the RPM got up to around 2000. I'm not sure why, but I did not feel as much of that "Seat of the Pants" feeling as I did when I installed the TTPM on my 01'. I'm going to set the level to 4 today and see if it helps.
Haven't towed my trailer with the TTPM installed yet... . but that will come soon i'm sure. I'm also crossing my fingers that I might get some better gas mileage with the TTPM installed. On my 01' it helped me by about 1. 5-2 mpg.
Anyways... . just keeping you posted on my first impression.
