WI Get Together

I have only heard of one for sure and its an 05 6. 0L with a "few" bombs to it. I wouldn't be suprised to see some extreme horsepower Dmaxs there! Kyle Micheals says he's coming with his dmax and if he does then he's gonna give us dodge guys a run for the money!

Well so far I wont have to work that day, so I'll plan on being there.

... . I'm pretty sure I want to dyno the truck, I'll see how long the line is, I guess

My 92 is parked for the winter. We have road salt alreay covering the roads in Ashland/Mansfield. Too bad. I'm just North on I71. I hope you guys can persuade a (dyno) run in the summer.

Well guys everthing is still on for Sat! Just got my Twins done this afternoon and tried my best but couldn't break anything tonight :) These things light so quickly its just awsome!! Can't wait to see what kind of numbers they'll put down!! Hope to see you guys out there! -Lavon

I have an unexpected appointment for the morning but should be there close to the 11a start. If the weather gets ugly and somebodys bobcat breaks then I'll probly get called out. O/T is nice but I'm x-ing fingers for a quiet day-- at least on the work front.

Looking foward to seeing (and hearing) some big HP. Oo. Oo.

As long as it dosent come with spark plugs :D

Didn't have any time for tuning on the twins before today but I do know that we have some leaks but still have plenty of air but I just didn't have big enough injectors to break 500. Time for Mach 6's! and unfortunately I think my VP44 is dieing! :( Cause some of the symtoms have showed up in the last 2 days - So that might be a little of the fueling problem?? No codes so time will tell!

Thanks to all who came out and stood in the cold!!! Especially those that came from far!! It was just a lot of Fun! - Lavon

BTW - The Dyno guys gave you all a big compliment for being the best group of people to hang out with!! He said most of the car guys that they dyno have big heads and are smart@ss's and that he was just really impressed with the way we all get along!!

we are a good crowd. Looks like I missed a good show from Jimmy B but the fam. was ready to go an my poor truck had been running for hours keepeing them warm, so I had to take off. :{

I wasnt dissapointed and enjoyed the smoke... . Hopefully the fix will last till pulling season in the spring-- but I doubt it

I thought of something stupid today. That was an inertial dyno, how will it work on something with very little wheel speed? I know of a tractor that might fit on that thing, it has no PTO or belt so wheels are the only dyno point. Can they handle 4 mph of 18. 4-38 rubber in the 150BHP neighborhood?

I even laughed at myself when I thought that, but ..... i wonder... ... . :D :-laf

PS-- A good time and I hate to be critical-- but tell that driver that clutches are not for slipping-- OK I can be anal about that but the boot on my clutch pedal was too close for comfort, although he probly saw it as the "emergency stop button". I just thought it odd that all the gear drive trucks sounded like auto's backing up the ramp... ... No hard feelings, just i thought a pro would drive my truck better than the tire guy at sams club

I'm also glad to see I'm not the only guy with a huge oil mess in the foward engine copmartment-- :D

BTW Lavon-- what do you plan on doing with all those ponies? Ohio State Antique Tractor Pullers call pastime park their home track, and often have a 4wd truck class at the end of the day. Care to hook to a sled? There's a big blok chevy that likes to pull with the diesels and he needs a good spankin'.....

I'll hook up sometime but I proly won't very often cause I use my truck for work everyday and If I break something then I won't be working until its fixed. And yeah I think Howard could be a little better with the clutches. He is used to the imports that you gotta rev to 3K to keep it from stalling!

That Dyno wouldn't work for your tractor - it would have to be a dyno where they can apply the break and actually lug it down. At least thats the way I understand it -Lavon

That is what low range is for. I told the driver before we even moved that life would be alot easier in low lock and he never slipped the clutch except for when he had to stop and get a better angle in the middle of loading.

As for my numbers I thought it would make a few more ponies and about 100ftlb more but now I guess I have a good baseline. Im pretty sure the pressure relief valve is shot in my truck because I made more power after my first run by decreasing the rail pressure, which tells me the higher pressures were just bleeding off instead of holding in the rail. Hopefully I can get this fixed and maybe try it again next year.
