Thanks, TDR Staff

3126 or IHC to 8.3CTD

m715 weight, and hydrosteer

I'll let you know when I get it finished up. Haven't even started any of the tubework yet, so it'll be awhile :). I'll probably be at Thunder in Muncie this year. If you happen to be planning on bringing your Bronco, I'd love to check it out!

Thanks for the transmission info.

a 4bt is a 6bt w/ two cylinders lopped off... front dress and bellhousing bolt pattern are the same... same rods/pistons/etc. it's just 2cyl's shorter

Hey GO 4LO,

Ever think about going hydrostatic?

Take a pump from an excavator, roller or hydrostatic dozer, a drive control, two 2-speed drive motors... one for each axle, hoses and about a 20 gal. tank. Now you can hydraulic winches, steering, front wheel drive and on and on... ... No messing around with drive line lengths, vibes or weak u-joints. Oh... mid-engine even. Talk about having a balanced rig... .

I've considered it, but I keep coming back to the issue of weight. However, I was also factoring in over 100 gallons of fluid storage. Do you think I'd be able to get away with 20 gallons?

IMHO mogs wont last running 52, rocks dont last under 52, no matter vehicle weight. Guy in KY, interesting if its the same, ask him about 52s on rocks.

52s on a TJ on what wheelbase? i assume you seen the pics of a cruiser on 52s with less then two feet between the tires, usa6x6. sell the TJ fund a buggy build.

52s will break in, and some pressure will be needed.

powerglide?

BJ i am in the same boat, looking at building a 700r4 for about 500+hp, but looks like a full reserve manual valve body is the only way to get full lockup anytime. i am looking to see if lockup and maintain full auto when needed. I will pm you.

top truck, better just stay top truck, and split to "top creation" to get the other things invovled. Burn a few more writeups and articles.

and overall HOW the hell do you fund this addiction? damn i play a bit/build a bit, but man you have like three rigs at the same time.

jlast, the Mog axles I'm referring to are off of a U-1300 - definitely won't have a problem with 52's. 404 axles might, if there's enough torque turning 'em.

The 52's will be on around 120" WB, and the 64's on around 130" WB.
