Diesel from old tires ?

I heard today on the radio that someone down in Tacoma is now making diesel from old tires for about a buck a gallon. Anyone else ever hear of this ?

damn i cannot get junk tires all day long whats the process? i knew there had to be some way i could get rid of tires. i mean the rubber does typically come from southeast asia. what a hike for rubber we got rubber in the USA lets reuse it
