Diesel fuel grades

I refueled at a truck stop and they had another grade of fuel,#1 diesel. It was 20 cents more than #2. What's the difference?

#1 fuel is a liter viscosity. Your Cummins is made to run on #2 (heavier viscosity). The liter diesel fuel will cause less power,more fuel consumption.
#1 diesel fuel may be used in extreme cold tempatures.
