Diesel fuel prices $$$$$$$

Hi one and all, just wanted to know what the price for diesel is around the country. Here in New York the prices have really jumped, the cheapest I have found is $1. 93 and have seen it up to $2. 17 a gallon. It is very sad since a gallon of reg gas goes for around $1. 73. Why is the diesel so much more, it was normally cheaper than gas?Oo.

In CA the diesel is still cheaper. Regular gas is a $2. 00 + and I can still find diesel for $1. 89. It may have something to do with local supply and demand. CA has little need for heating oil, so the demand for fuel oil is less for non-diesel needs. I was just the WA, and diesel was cheaper there also, and more heating oil is used.

I filled my Phord up today for 1. 699 (Exxon). Saw a Citco price of 1. 689. I'm more or less in the center of Texas, farm and ranch land, no big cities. Guess everything is cheaper here. Seldom buy any gasoline so didn't notice the price.

The cheapest place around here is bumping $1. 80. It has leveled off the last week or so, but I am afraid it won't last.



We have more problems than just the middle east. Does anyone know what is going on down in Venezuala right now? We used to get the majority of our foreign oil there. I was there about a year ago when the had their first general strike and Chavez fled the country, it didn't last long though, he returned before we could get out. Chavez, a communist that is in bed with Castro has nationalized the Venezualian oil fields.



When I got home last May I tried to keep up with what was going on there, because we had left others behind. Imagine my suprise when I couldn't find anything in the papers or on television. It is very hard to keep up with what is going on down there, but events there are probably influencing the price of oil here more than what is going on in the mid east. Why does our media not report much on this?????Hummm

today i paid . 839 a litre, and there is 3. 8 litres to the american gallon. thats $3. 19 per gallon canadian. roughly translated using 53% exchange that turns out to be $2. 09 per gallon. over the summer, it was costing me about . 62 per litre or 2. 36 canadian/gallon which translates to $1. 54 us per gallon.



its costing me over $20 can. more at the pumps to fill. If there is a war, there is already speculation that it will exceed $1. 00/litre or $2. 50 us per gallon.

I live in central Ohio and gas is about 1. 65 to 1. 75. The cheapest diesel I've found is 1. 82.

i filled up my tahoe on wednesday for $0. 803 at a canadian tire station [they use imperial/esso diesel]. man, i remember when i first got my 'hoe, i could fill 'er up in concord area diesel equipped stations from between $0. 447 to $0. 499. now anything under $. 80 is a great deal :{

Last time I filled up (last week), I paid $1. 799. I probably went up since then. We are the shaft partly because of the very cold winter here in the Northeast. They always CLAIM shortages. I really feel badly for the folks on Social Security that are trying to keep warm.

$1. 699 in Berea, KY. I just unloaded $55. 13 cash into my tank last night. Gasoline is $1. 689, $1. 789, and $1. 889 for the three grades of unleaded. I remember when I purchased my 1st diesel, a 1998 12V 2500 Regular Cab 5 speed Sport, in December 1997, diesel could be had in KY around $0. 82 per gallon. They should put small packages of Vaseline, like the ketchup you get at McDonald's or Burger King, near the pump every time we fill up, regardless if it's gas or diesel. We're all getting gouged and screwed... ...

Shell in Bastrop is still at 1. 679 seems like prices have been holding steady at least two weeks but I know higher$$$$ are a coming:{ Gas has gone down slightly.

I fill up in north jersey its about 1. 75 to 1:80. I have seen it over 2 buck in N. Y. I friends with gas engines are having fun on my expense. :--)

Southern MD the 4-5 stations I pass going back and forth for work are between $1. 879 and $1. 899

San Antonio you can find it for $1. 649. Probably won't last long though. Seems lot a bunch of years ago all you had to do was create a shortage and you got the price where you wanted it. Remember, the denim, coffee, etc. , until people got wise what was happening. Gee I wonder if the man in the big house is smiling over this. How much control does the average person have on this anyway. As was mentioned before, just bend over and take it up the you know what like everyone else I guess. Oh well now I feel better.

Diesel prices will level off and decline in relationship to gasoline prices as heating oil demand falls with warmer weather.



We may still have a little higher to go with all fuel prices, though I don't expect diesel to go above $2. 00 in my neck of the woods.
