Thanks, TDR Staff

Hmmmmm, there went the....

1994 Detroit Series 60...

This is a high volume truck stop and usually has the best price on diesel along the I-5 corridor in western WA. Last Friday I drive by and it is $2. 42, last night it is $2. 57 - up . 15 in one week. . 80 per gallon higher than regular unleaded. WHAT THE HE!! IS GOING ON HERE WITH DIESEL FUEL PRICES?? WHY AREN'T THE TRUCKERS SCREAMING??

I have written my state senator and both state reps, all three dem's and have received no response. I am about ready to sell the 5vr, sell the CTD and buy a Honda Hybrid and say the he!! with them(fuel manufacturers & government) and their damn sky high fuel taxes/prices. This is absolutely ridiculous and is severe price gouging IMHO.

Matty, it's 2. 45 up in Browns Valley. Almost worth the drive. So Joe, isn't Albuequerque the place where Buggs Bunny was supposed to turn left?

Every time I take a load to penn valley in the flatbed I usually try to pull in at the Browns Valley 76. But luckilly my cardlock in yuba city has huge tanks so their price stays lower for a while.

Just wait till you see the profit margins of say, mobil, chevron, texaco, etc... at the end of the year. See who gets the $$.

And check out all the west coast states on that flying J link. I think they're all over $2. 30... something about Washington though. Do you guys have higher state taxes, or some funky legislation that just got enacted?

Fuel Prices

I was told a week ago Friday that there is only one refinery in Washington for diesel in the NW. Apparently there was a fire at that refinery & all the diesel in the NW is coming down from BC.

He (Shell franchise owner) said he wasn't sure when the refinery would be back up but it was the BC refineries charging (gouging) the consumer FWIW if you believe that.....

Today, in Everett, WA. #2 is going for $265. 9 per gallon... $69 to fill up & I commute 250 miles per day round trip. . I hate the oil companys right about now!

No, we just have a thief in the Governors mansion who literally stole the election on a 3rd recount by 129 votes, a hand recount where the liberal democrats in king county found new votes 9 times, where dead people voted and many many felons voted. The liberal dems of king county are disgusting, blatent and sickening, just look at rep mcdermot (baghdad jim) a classic example of what I'm talking about... . the michael moore - barbara streisand - barbra boxer crowd.

I know complaining to the oil companys won't do any good. The ones that could proably do the most good for us would be the auto makers, if the price stays high people will not buy diesels, auto companys will lose lots of money. Just my thoughs. $2. 30. 9 today in Lathrop, CA.

tschwab, "No, we just have a thief in the Governors mansion who literally stole the election on a 3rd recount by 129 votes, a hand recount where the liberal democrats in king county found new votes 9 times,"

Could not have said it better myself, sent an-email to our Rep,(dem of course) demanding a new vote, never/not one word from HER 25th dist. #@$%!

And yes "flying J" I've found in our travels is NOT the less expensive diesel along a given path (normally)

Talk about price jump. . The Love's Truck stop near my house was $1. 84 last wednesday, overnight last night it jumped to $2. 00 BOOM like that :--) :-{} ... I still say Bush has something to do with it, but hey i'm a peasant what am I allowed to know. This really sucks when i am an independant hot-shot contractor driving 350 miles a day give or take. . i would sell the truck and buy a gasser if i had to live on the west coast again. :(

The Flying J in Lathrop CA was 2. 17 on the way to Sacramento last Saturday, 2. 18 on the way back the same day, and now is 2. 30. In San Jose it went from 2. 29 to 2. 39 in less than a week. Today I found a Safeway station (yes, Safeway like the store) in Girloy that was 2. 35 and saved . 03 for having a card, lucky me only 2. 32! Silly me, I thought my old Ford 460 was killing me so I bought a diesel. Truth is, I still love this truck!

Paid $1. 839 in Oklahoma City Friday, got back here Saturday afternoon and see $2. 29 and up ! :( Thank you 100 gallon aux. tank !

I googled "high diesel prices" and did not find a deffinate answer to why it is so high.

SO... Does anyone know why the prices are 20% higher then gasoline???

I heard a rumor that house heating oil is making it so expensive?

Just trying to get to the bottom of it.

It is cheaper to drive my wifes blazer that gets 16 MPG then my cummins that gets 18 MPG.

I think I am going to put it away for awhile... :(
