My 06 had bad injectors. The dealer put 6 remans in and drove it. It threw a code and he found fuel in the oil. Did this hurt the engine. Was driven 30 miles or less with fuel in the oil. It did not hydro lock.

No. My mechanic buddy has worked on dozens of trucks in fleets like this and none have ever suffered damage as a result. Some of them had gallons of diesel in the crankcase and were worked hard for weeks this way.

Thank you. I had a guy hydro locked his and it blew a month later. Mine did not hydro or run very long. This happened at 99990 miles.

Learning opportunity...

what is hydro locked? What happens when the engine hydro locks? Sorry... I have not heard that term before.

Hydrolock is the term used to describe what happens if a cylinder fills with diesel fuel or any other liquid. Liquids won't compress so as the crankshaft rotates and pushes the piston up on the flooded cylinder it reaches the point where nothing but liquid remains in the cylinder and the liquid will not compress so the piston rod bends, the crankshaft stops rotating, and the engine is locked. Considerable damage occurs when this happens.
