Since it is suspected wear metal particles from the CP3 pump are messing with the check ball, it would stand to reason the added load caused by boxes will make the CP3 work harder and contaminate the fuel with more metallic particles and result in increased injector issues. Just a thought.

This is an interesting point, and one that I didn't even consider until just now. You *might* conclude, then, that running a fuel additive with enhanced lubricity *might* help prevent injector failures by decreasing the rate of particle shedding from the CP-3.

Thats a good point,. but how so you explain all the injector failures that dont have boxes
 
That happened to me twice with diesel in my oil and blowing out the breather. Both times it was my 04. 5. Never had a problem with my 04. 04 runs like a champ!! Stacks on the way for it too!!
