Diesel is still $2.71, Gasoline is going into orbit

Its the same deal here in Canada. Diesel has remained about the same and gas is through the roof. Makes me wish the wifes Jeep Liberty had the CRD! The CRD wasn't available until after we took delivery of ours. And now the CRD has been discontinued. #@$%!

Prices here are about $0. 929 CDN per Litre ($3. 79 USD per Gallon) for diesel and gas is around $1. 214 CDN per Litre ($4. 96 USD per Gallon)!

I work in the oil and gas industry so I don't complain about fuel prices. If the prices were half what they are now, I'd be unemployed.

The most we paid for diesel in Canada on our trip to Alaska last summer was $5. 00 per gal in Whitehorse, Yukon when calculated liters to gal and US to Canadian money.

I can tell you why. My wife's 317,000 mile injection pump let go and now she will have to drive the gas burner untill I get the pump off/back on again.

Last time I filled up gas was almost 50% more expensive then diesel. I paid $0. 85/L for diesel, while gas was $1. 26/L.

Hate to laugh at my friends, but I have one who purchased a new Tundra in March because he figured the gas motor would be cheaper to drive than the diesel. At least he got rid of a powerstroke to get the Toyota. I did the math repeatedly for him, and couldn't figure how he could get the numbers to add up, as he almost always has a trailer in tow. I have not asked him how happy he is to get 9. 5 mpg with the gasser compared to the 13 he'd get with the Ford. Told him to buy a Cummins up until the day he settled on the Toyota.

I hope your friend wasn't swayed by those impressive Tundra ads. There is bit of staging going on there. There are still a lot of sound reasons to own a Toyota (styling, comfort, fit, finish, relability, etc). I've owned three Toyota truck gassers and sold them with 200K+ miles to friends and family. Never had as much as a switch go bad and all are still running strong. If they ever offer a 3/4-1 ton and add that Hino engine and Aisin transmission as an option they will be hard to beat. They will, however, be very pricey. Until then there is no comparison. Diesel beats gas hands down for towing, especially at higher elevations. Last fill up: 2. 92 Dixon CA. Gas was 3. 36. I have figured out that right now I'm pushing around about 4 tons (light) at less cost than most full-size autos and all SUV's. When towing I'm pretty close most full-size gasser trucks.

The cheapest we've had since Katrina is $2. 72 briefly, otherwise we've been in the $3. 00 neighborhood almost 2 years running.

I left Pittsburgh on the 21st was around $2. 85 and headed west the price of fuel has been steadily climbing, $2. 89 to a high of $3. 01 I believe in Sturgis SD. I just filled up here in Missoula MT. and paid $2. 91. Headed into Washington State tomorrow so I will see what prices are doing there.

Gas is finally starting to come back down in my area. $3. 57 for premium. It had spiked to $3. 70 for premium. Put a whopping $12. 00 in my bike. Diesel is now $2. 89 gal.

Diesel at Flying J just south of Kansas city where I fill is $2. 66, I think gas is $3. 15. Off-road fuel was $2. 34 when I bought it a couple weekends ago.



I've heard the IRS/DOT has been running checkpoints on the roads around here lately looking for people running off road fuel. Whether you were in a pickup or semi, I think they were checking you. I'd previously only heard of this at weigh scales or typically sale barns in rural areas.

Regular gas was about 3. 25 and Diesel was at 2. 99 in Spokane proper... ... Where I fill up in Post Falls, ID it was $2. 83 per gallon to fill up the CRD Liberty.....

In the long Beach area gas is dropping and diesel is still at 3. 06-3. 17, even though it is still cheaper than gas

i just filled up at 2. 709, premium is 3. 149, one good point i just turned the best mpg ever since i got the truck 17. 2 corrected for too tall tires, i don't know how it happened as i was expecting the usual 16. 5 or worse as i have been hammering on it a little more then usual, not sure what it'll do on the road as i haven't done a road trip that i wasn't pulling something heavy and wind resistant
