Here I am

Diesel Power magazine, sold out

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

looks like gas is catching up!

need electrical advice -- something about a diode

I have 2 copies, I will let them go for $8. 00 a piece this includes priority shipping and covering my PayPal fees. If anyone wants a copy I will take the first 2 PM's for them. I found them at Peoples News in Parkersburg, WV today. They had a whole stack!

The mag is not bad, I would most likely subscribe when they offer it. Its is full of ads thats true. Maybe the will tone it down when they see how it will sell. On a side note you can join the Powerstroke owners group! :-laf They have an add in there. Its no TDR but its still not bad. I'd give it a 6 on the 10 scale. All the trucks they showcase are show trucks. Nothing most people will own.

Anyway PM me if anyone wants a copy. I will trade info with you then.

. If you go back and reread what they wrote about how the interiors sit and how comfortable the "captians chairs" are along with the rear seat "looking like it was pulled from a Lincoln Town car" of the Ford its easy to see why they were so biased.

YOUR RIGHT RE-READ IT AGAIN THEY MENTION THE FACT THAT THE DODGE NEVER HAD TOWING MIRRORS ABOUT 4 TIMES I PROSONNALY FEAL THAT THIS IS THE REASON DODGE NEVER ONE !!! WHAT A JOKE !! THE LAST SHOOT OUT I READ THE DODGE LOST BECAUSE IT NEVER HAD A TOW MODE !!! TRUMPED AGAIN ITS PATHETIC THAT DODGE HAS LOST BOTH SHOOT OUTS IVE READ BECAUSE OF SIMPLE LITTLE THINGS >>>WHOS TESTS THESE THINGS !!

As you can tell from looking at the photos of all the trucks interiors then its plain to see one of the items that killed both the Dodge and the Chevy. When a manufacturer sends a truck to test they should be required to send a "normal" optioned ride, not a special order truck like the "Harley Davidson". Its a shame when writers are so biased and do not even mention that in their article.

DP (DIESELPOWER) Tried to get all normal trucks they mention this on page 95 they also state that the only ford they could get was the Harley-Davidson model on page 101 they have a pic of the HD logo... so this wasnt a secret . . but I agree with you even tho they probly tried not to be bias to the fact they had the PIMPED FORD modle ... they failed big time... . Im not being partial to DODGE either ITs just facts

Overall I felt it was well put together and had some good articles on some of the more bling, blinged out diesels in the country. The Kelderman truck is enough to make me weak in the knees and would look good in my garage,LOL. I know I'll get put to the stake for this one but Bullydog's Adrenalin Duramax is sweet looking and worthy of our attention. Not so much for its powerplant, but its attention to detail. Having never seen it in person you could only imagine how good it looks in real life. I also was amazed at how many of the ''Other" manufacturers

I Too Am Suprized ALL KINDS OF NEW LINKS TO CHECK OUT

If Primedia does a little less concentrating on lifts,bling-bling equipped trucks, biased truck showdowns and does more performance minded articles this magazine will fly off the nations shelves.

AGREED ,,,, where the TRANSFER PULLING CROWD INFO ???

IGNORED YET AGAIN

TO ADD TO MY SHOOT OUT POST DODGE ALSO WON

BEST STOPPING WITH THE TRAILOR

SO THATS 11 OF 15 catagorys ... ... BUT WE NEVER HAD TOWING MIRRORS :{ :{ :{ SO WE LOST

ITS SAD TO SAY BUT THE BEST PART FOR ME OF THE MAG WAS THE 77 or SO AD's of stuff to check out thats new to me this being one

http://www.bouldereng.com/diesel.htm

looking in to this thing to keep my pusher alive

the trucks featured are just plain wikid ... i like all of em' the paint on the cover trucks is awe inspiring

dont get me wrong this is the best diesel related mag avalible other than tdr... ... ... ...

Wow DieselMinded, you sure do post alot.

What's the deal with that scrubber unit, first I've heard of them and am somewhat skeptical. Anyone used them?

I used the "CONTACT US" from there website and asked about pricing and a possible tdr group buy ... waiting on a reply it looks like its ideal for my application but I bet its way over priced like every other diesel truck upgrade ... . Im hopeing for a $50 range but I bet its tons more than that.

The post count was a joke but I decided to leave it like that ,,,LOL

Have not read yet, tell me if im wrong but if they dont have any good 12v or 24v articles then the mag is worthless too me. Alll these new mags only have the new yuppie trucks

lol

I would'nt say yuppie trucks but most of all the ads and articals are not for 1st gens. that can be exspected most new publications appeal to new trucks/owners . . TDR is a great mag that appeals to a wide range of folk

Agreed, however either Four Wheeler or 4-Wheel & Off-Road did some upgrades on a 2nd Gen 24V a while back. Including a bigger turbo!

Would be nice if they do some 12V articles once in a while "cheap HP upgrades for your tow vehicle!" If some people only knew.

You're perception is correct on this one too. No articles on 2nd Gen trucks and I really don't see any in the magazine's future. Maybe I'm wrong but I think this mag is going to focus on the new technology and I see it getting pretty fancy by way of adding PDA's and other computer gizmos to trucks to monitor this and that.

Us 2nd gen guys and especially the ones with true manual motors are SOL on this one. I still haven't decided if I'll subscribe or not.

No first gen. what's this world coming too

You guys gotta keep in mind that this is the FIRST ISSUE of the magazine... they have to appeal the entire diesel community - or at least make some kind of attempt at it.

The TDR is Cummins/Dodge specific. You can't even begin to compare both magazines side-by-each. The TDR has been around since 1993... Diesel Power wasn't even a sparkle in anyone's eyes back then.

NOT IN A MILLION YEARS !!!!!!!

Great price! Does that price include the snake, or just the snake oil. I never knew that the black smoke was caused by contaminants. I guess larger turbos must clean the fuel also.

i guess that would put a cramp in there choosing style

"Certainly, they can't give the shootout to the Ford on one page and then "Power Upgrades For Your 500K Mile Cummins" on the next. "

they could do some tech articles about the 6. 0's durability, like the guys that have made it 2500 miles with no problems. lets see them do a long term test with that 6. 0. not to mention that it was old models of trucks.

i too am a 2nd gen lover myself, and i might not be subscribing if they dont at least put sompthing in there about them. i mean how many different ways can you "plug" in a chip? why dont they get a hold of some of the big advertisers in there and do a pulling truck buildup article? wouldnt even have to be there truck. or do some tech articles on the stuff thats advertised in there, i had a guy tell me he was going to get a nitrous system for his complete stock truck because they said it would give him 250hp. oh well, enough ranting for a bit a guess.

Or how about a long term test, say 5,000 miles?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To get a start as a new mag, they really need the investment of the advertisers. It is just one of the things we have to put up with.

Picked up one of the eight copies at Barnes & Noble on the east side today. As the cover says "First Issue Ever" Give it some time. If you wish to have something written about the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen trucks, contact the magazine. You could even go another route, and I'll get some heat about this for sure. Contact one of the independent reporters and have them do some type of story.

Example: Look up the one who wrote the article on pg. 28, "The Diesel Hot Rod Association", Matthew R. Amero, aka; "HoleshotHolset", he might need some suggestions for future articles. :D

Can I get your autograph Matt??

Paul

Dang it - I was hoping I'd be the mystery writer for a while longer. :)

The magazine will have lots of 12-valve Cummins goodies in it. Trust me.
