Competition 3rd gen pullin

I agree with Gene completely (I have to go to therapy now... ). We should all be glad that Chevy has a player. The more performance diesels on the market the better for us all. It also gives the fans another favorite to pick from.

I almost wondered if Gene had someone type that message... until I read the last line! :-laf :D

Gene... ...come on now, who wrote that for you. I hear a smiggen of truth and sincerity in it. Not like you at all. But still good to read , with your name on it.

Good post.

The chest beating that came out of the Chevy camp, was incredible. 99% of them didn't know Chevy ever built a 5. 7,6. 2,6. 5 that were disasters, but oh my did they have the best Diesel now ):

Lest not forget the 4. 3L V6 conversions either. GM actually had an isuzu diesel in trucks in the early 80's. The chevy luv(isuzu pup). It did follow the typical chevy truck image or rusting to death. That truck had rust on the skin within 2 years, and within 5 years had holes in the single walled bed. LOL

Gene, LOL, I basically learned to drive in a 5. 7 diesel Bonneville, and my first 4x4 was a 6. 2 Suburban. Both ran without failure for me, but both could be outrun by a kid on a bike, dogs, horses, etc.

Thanks for the anthology of brand loyalty... pretty funny how things get started.

I'll tell ya what, though, watching some of the SS Dodges sure makes me think... . if I were to run across an old 12V somewhere... . it'd sure be tempting... .

Now that you opened the can, I do have a 3500 12V with 345K miles. Interested?

But my dog's dead, the wife's to old, and her biscuits are to good to her let go.
