Here in San Diego,I just filled up with Chevron @$ 3. 29. I can only afford to drive it on weekends. With the camper,auto,285's,mods etc. only averaging 13. 8 in town and maybe 15. 5 on freeway. 255-85-16's,cab high shell maybe in the future. My claustrophobic,super efficient '98 Accord saves me for everday commute. In the event of an accident its gonna be quick,no lingering on life support for months,but at least my wife won't be stuck with a high gas bill.

I may start car pooling to work.

My company has a program that if we carpool at least 4 days a week, with 4 people in the vehicle, they'll pay each of us $40 a month. It's even better that one of the guys I'll carpool with has a company car with company-paid gas. Why haven't I taken advantage of this before??? :confused: I'm such a dumb***

diesel in baja

Guys:

if you live close to the Mexican border, diesel is at todays rate 1. 90 a gallon. I always meet guys from the USA toping off their trucks and one or two 55 gallon drums while sportfishing or off roading in Baja

Take the family out on a weekend trip and dont forget your drums while in Mexico. Funny on you can bring back fuel from Mexico but not the other way around.

Hey Mino! Awhile back I posted an article about the U. S. supplying cleaner(than Mex. ) diesel to Mexican border cities in order to decrease pollution. I think it was in the L. A. Times. So maybe your getting U. S. diesel @ Mexican prices. I don't know about Ensenada or Guadalupe. Take care!

Here, the cheap stations are at 3. 25. The expensive ones are moving into the 3. 30's... . A few $100+ fill ups and your right foot suddenly becomes much much lighter. Hurray for tourist towns...

I'll be in sunny southern Ca. in two weeks Greg, I can't wait to see what the prices are up to by then. :{

If you venture into Sunland, it's 2. 95 at the 76 station on Sunland Blvd. and Glenoaks Blvd. I've been going there for years. Don

$2. 89/gal, here in MD. I filled up at the local Citgo, after my fuel light came on. At $75, the pump shut me off, so I had to re-insert my card and go for round two. After another $15, I was topped off.

i saw it for 2. 97 this morning at the bp on rt. 3 in odenton MD. good thing i filled up 3 days ago for 2. 77. the price has rose from 2. 49 to 2. 97 in 2 weeks around here.

$2. 89 here in Delaware. Sucks... I still can't understand why gas and diesel prices are so freaking high... . must be nice seeing that the gas and oil companies are making MILLIONS!!!!!!!!! of dollars in profit.....

this is very discouraging. ... Is anyone still buying diesel trucks? Doc

Not after this year. I think the diesel pickup truck market is going to take a serious crash starting in January ... one it will never recover from.

$2. 89 in northern michigan. that car pool deal is great. I may think of a moped or something like that to get me through this high price stretch.
