Gas jumped way up in the last couple days (now 1.50 to 2.00). Diesel never got much below 2.40 around here but at the moment appears not to be going up....yet. Truck is staying parked until there is less difference in cost between gas and diesel.
Fuel is definitely on the rise again as evidenced by the big fuel contracts. I just paid $1.61 the other day through my EFS card and it's now up to $1.70. That's pretty significant given commercial contractual pricing. Retail will be following the trend.
Bought some yesterday for 1.979 here in North Louisiana. I saw it last week for 1.849 on the other side of town at an oil and fuel distributor but I don’t think they’re open all day on Saturday. I still have room for another 25-30 gallons may check with them Monday. Didn’t want to fill my auxiliary tank completely until I found out if I had any leaks.
Maybe the offshore tankers will be able to offload now. We're supposed to be the largest producer in the world now and export product? Why do we continue to buy from countries that don't like us. Canadian's pay a premium for their own oil.
Fueled up Tuesday and it was $1.83. Checked Friday and it has changed to $1.85 at one particular place but still have some at $2.69. Some places never dropped at all. I’ve got 92 gallons so I’m good for a bit.
