diesel prices

I guess its pretty late in wondering about this. But,diesel went up a lot (a month ago ?) Here in Bothell,it was about the price of regular gasoline. But now its 30 cent higher. (gas $1. 99, diesel $2. 30) Has anyone heard the reason why diesel went up and not gasoline ?

I don't know if it's true, but I heard somewhere the price was high because they were trying to build a surplus of home heating oil for this winter. The price here was $2. 27, and it dropped in one day to $2. 19. Hopefully it will keep dropping.

On my drive thru part of Michigan today I saw prices from $2. 129 up to $2. 299. The prices were cheaper the further west you go from Detroit.

It's dropped down to 2. 12 here. It was up over 2. 20 for the last 2 weeks.

$2. 29 don't I wish! In southern CA the lowest price is $2. 45 and from there it goes up!



Our diesel was about the same as regular gas and for about 2 months shot up higher than premium gas. Now it's just above the regular price again.

I got my price shock last month. A local Union BP station here was selling diesel for $1. 599 from April till September. Then when I went in again last month in October my walet felt very light when the price went from 1. 599 to 2. 199. I still don't know how the station owner was able to hold the price for 6 months. But I asked him last June and his answer was that he knows the true value of diesel. Draw your own conclusions what that means.

Here in Clarksville, TN the price has dropped from 2. 17 down to 1. 97 in 1 day. This was at a Bp and Exxon. Funny thing is the the FLying J was still at 2. 04. All I know is I filled up and was a little happier.

Ive noticed that diesel has come down a couple of cents here in Bothell and reg gas has stayed the same. But diesel is still about 30 cents higher that reg. I think also about 10 cent higher than premium gas

Diesel fuel is $2. 10 here now. It's down about 30 cents from where it was two or three weeks ago.

Hey Dsl Duo It's $2. 08 per gal at the 76 station on the corner of studebaker and spring street in east Long Beach and expect to see it come down a little bit more by Thanks giving!!! our tanks are building inventory finally since this summer. I work for ConocoPhillips here in SO Cal.

1. 10, 2. 10, 3. 10... I don't care that much what it is because I still love my truck more and it helps that I make my living driving it... . I just charge more for fuel price increases and I generally run about 50 gallons a day through it.

Was $2. 42 -$2. 60 2 weeks ago, down to $2. 35 - $2. 50, meanwhile unleaded has been pretty steady at $1. 99 - $2. 09. I think I would jump up and down if diesel dropped down to $2. 00!

I'ts pretty sad to think I would be happy if diesel dropped to $2. 00. I was whining when it went from $1. 25 to $1. 50 a couple years ago.



What I can't believe is that the oil companies don't want to build more cracking plants since the demand isn't going down and I doubt if the cost of a barrel of oil will fall much more.

End results appear to be a "Supply - Demand" issue. During the summer gas prices will go up with the vacation season. Same for diesel fuel prices only it is during the winter when heating oil fuel is in demand. Anyway, it is a reason they use. I'm sure it doesn't hurt their bottom line.

Fuel Cost

I feel a little better knowing that fuel prices here (Virginia Beach, Va. ) are 1. 919. I hope they keep coming down. I can't pass raising fuel cost on to others.
