I dunno, I read that the oil companies are getting scared about being charged with gouging, so prices are going to drop, even more.

Is it just the oil companies? There is a . 20 difference in stations from one end of Spudland to the other!!!!

I filled up yesterday after waiting several days for prices to drop. Bought 31 gallons at 2. 57 for a total of around 80+ dollars. I drive by the same station this morning on my way to work and it's 2. 42 a gallon. A little over two weeks ago I filled up here for 3. 09 a gallon at another station. The prices around here have dropped . 67 in less than 3 weeks time.

Hig Diesel Prices

The story I heard regarding high diesel prices is that after Katrina hit, ocean going fuel tankers loaded with unleaded gasoline were diverted to the U. S. tho help suppliment our crude oil & refining setback.



Diesel fuel was not sent to us, so the only #2 we had available to us was what we were able to produce by our own refineries.

Last week I noticed one brand name station (Chevron?) advertised $2. 11 (regular gas) and $3. 49 (diesel). That was in Enid, Oklahoma where I thought prices would be relatively cheap. I expect things like that here in screwy Calif. Makes no sense to me.
