2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Diesel Pro Exhaust

Has anybody purchased an exhaust from Diesel Pro. They have an add in the latest issue on page 13. They advetise a four inch system for $440 aluminized and $575 for 304 Stainless. Wondering if anybody has installed and seen the quality and fit. Sales rep tells me stainless is a lifetime guarantee while the aluminzed was a 10yr. system, but I sensed some hesitation on his part concerning the ten year warrantee. I have noticed other manufactures only offer a 1 year with the aluminzed. Any other input would be helpfull, noise, emission testing, power gains etc. Truck really only needs a tail and muffler but that is going to cost $380 in parts, factory system is only 4 yrs old. I have a cat back factory system from my 96 in like new condition if you are interested. Was put on before I bought my truck back in march, and I removed it less than a month later. cant be more than ~500 miles on it. PM me if you're interested... should fit a 2000 no prob



otherwise, 440 is too steep... I bought a 4" aluminized 14ga system from ebay for $300+ ship. install went smoooooth. they also have stainless on ebay for approx 400-450max. .

Call Rip, get his 4", don't worry about your exhaust again.



Stainless is pointless on our pickups... they won't corrode anyway. Aluminized is good enough.

maybe in Arizona they dont, but here in the "salt-belt" exhaust systems do corrode. and for some, more quickly than others.

Ordered 304SS from Diesel Pro. $575 was not to bad. Ebay offered 409SS for about $400 before shipping. So for an extra hundred I got a lifetime system. Gonehawkn is right the salt treatments in these parts are awful. I wash the truck about once a week, underside included all winter long and the stock system has only lasted the four years, about the same time frame that it lasted on my previous 1995.

Should take about a week to ship. I'll let you all know how it fits up, once installed.
