Competition Where to begin

Competition #11 plate vs #10 at the track

DSPA will be known as the Diesel Pullers Organization--a web site will be up soon --but here's the prelim to what we're trying---other info will be added like: points and events and etc... . feel free to comment as I need your input---chris

DIESEL PULLERS ORGANIZATION

This club is formed for the diesel sled puller in mind. Although the name implies only diesel engined vehicles, gas engined vehicles are welcome to join also. The DPO will, with the help of members, post pull locations and dates, keep points and keep members informed of events to the best of our/your ability--whether by mail, email or fax.

As this is a club in progress changes will most likely be made as time passes by. What the changes will be are unknown at this time, but we will keep an open mind to the ever growing popularity of the sport and it's members.

Rules can be found below--these are our rules and not the promoter of the event, as they may have different rules to abide by, so be prepared to make additions if necessary to satisfy the promoter's rules. You will be able to print out the rules to show to prospective promoters to lessen the burden on them and possibly give us the class or classes we would like.

Our goal is to become a recognized participant in the major sled pull events and to be treated fairly and by being organized we hope to accomplish this.

Thanks for taking the time to hear our babble and PULL ON!!!

"4) Ball, Clevis or a ring of 3” diameter will be needed for sled chain hook for stock & modified street"

Surely you guys have never hooked on a ball hitch?

Sleddy--that's only for stock trucks--I forgot to remove the modified--thanks for pointing it out---

sometimes they will hook to a ball, but it ain't for us boys that have power---chris

Hooking to hitch balls, and 8500 pounds

Rob, you tore your truck up at 8000, and you want more?

Take the 100 gallons of cleaning products out of the back seat, you will be fine.

I made 7200 pounds at Muncie last year, with all my weights on the front.

I doubt I will this year, with bars and loops, but 8000 is easy.

Chris, thanks for doing the leg work and keeping us up to date. I'm still going to join, even though I doubt that there will be many pulls I can attend. How about ladder bars in the Modified Street class?

Do we get little stickers to put on the trucks with our membership?;)

Brian

ladder bars are ok--thanks for pointing it out--dang I even have them---sticker, hat or t-shirt or something along that line--still need to work on things like that... chris

Fees: will be $35. 00 per year to help pay for the website, awards, supplies and entry gift---we will then hold the remainder of the monies to help build this organization for future endeavors.

Points system: points will be awarded as follows---

1st -------------100

2nd ------------- 75

3rd ------------- 50

4th ------------- 25

5th ------------- 10

participation----5

We intend to give something to the puller with the most points, the puller with the best finish average to pulls entered and possibly to the puller who brings up the end of the line based on the above formula-no sandbagging to win this award—a monetary award is what I’d like to do, but of course this will depend on how many members join and what’s available in the coffers—it may be that the first year or two this may not happen, we will have to see. You must enter a minimum of TBD pulls to be eligible to win.

Sounds like a plan to me. Let me know when and where to send the check. I'm pretty sure I'll just be a paying member, not a participating one, since there probably won't be many pulls down here.
