Dyno Day in Kearney

We are hosting a Diesel Rally at our shop (C4 Enterprises L. L. C. )on October 13, 12 noon to ? It is basically just a meet and greet day for all diesel owners, all brands, all years, cars and trucks. We are going to give away food and drinks as long as supplies last. Come in pop the hood, show off your truck, show off your mods, and do some bench racing. Bring your timeslips, and dyno sheets. It is a day to relax, make some new friends and have a good time. You can see our ad in the 'Show-Me-Trader' this week. Our shop is located in Lathrop, Missouri. Take I-35 to Hwy 116(Exit 40), West to Lathrop, our shop is right in front the City Limit sign. If you have any questions, PM, email (c4entllc@hotmail.com), or call us at (816) 528-4420. If you think you may come, post it or pm me so I can get an idea for food and drink. Thanks-Nicholas:-laf

How far are you from KC and which direction? I'm up in Nebraska but it's only about 3hrs. to KC so if you're close to that area, maybe I could make it down. Maybe some guys from Omaha would come down if we got them going on it.

JesseJ,

We are approx 40 miles north of KC up I-35. 3 miles off of I-35 on nice 2 lane to our shop. I will see if I can get a map drawn up and try to post it on here. There are a few hotels to the North and South of us, if anyone is interested, let me know and I will get some numbers for them. -Nicholas

I don't know how or if you could make it more visible on here, but I think if more guys from the Omaha/Lincoln area heard about it they might show up. I'll try to talk to a few of them that I know and I'll try to make sure my schedule is clear that weekend.

I may be interested. My sister lives in Platte City so I have an excuse to come. Have to get the wife to let me go some how.

Hopefully we will have the 94 done and we can bring it down.

Jesse I still have a boost fooler for you if you still want it.

I talked to John at the last dyno day Adam had in Kearney,MO, and he said they don't like to do them on gravel parking lots, because the rocks get in the tires and chew up the rollers. Which I understand. Ours is gravel with ground up asphalt over it. I would like to do this, but I don't have any ideas on getting around that, at least not ones we can afford this year. As long as they stay committed, I do have a new Powerstroke, Duramax, and Cummins coming to check out. I am working on a few door prizes from a few local businesses as well. I was hoping for this year's Rally to basically give everyone a place to meet others diesel owners, hangout, enjoy some free food, swap stories, and check out everyones trucks. If this year goes well, and there is enough interest, then I would like to try to have something more to do, like bringing in the dyno. -Nicholas

Jesse, would it help if I mailed you some flyers to give out? I appreciate you talking to guys up there. Jarecke, that sounds great, can't wait to see the truck. -Nicholas

Thanks Todd but I already bought a boost fooler. Tell the wife you're going, I'm planning on going unless that interferes with pheasant hunting in SD. I got hookups for free lodging, plenty of land, and great hunting so I can't turn that down. Otherwise, I'll head down for a road trip. Let me know if you're going to go, maybe we can have a two man convoy.

NCovey, I don't really talk to anybody else from around here in person, just on here. I just figured some guys from Omaha would pipe up, it's not that far down there.

My sister wants to have my nephew's b-day party that weekend so I may not have to make an excuse to go after all. How far from Platte City?

Don't know if I'll be able to make it now. I've been looking for a while and finally jumped on the chance to convert to a 6-speed. Parts should be here sometime next week. Not a problem right? Well, I've got a funeral to go to in Chicago sometime next week/weekend which might kill my chances of getting my truck back together. I'll let you know either way, I'm still going to try, it just might be a few late nights after work.

Yeah we'll have to see what happens. My transmission guy got his check yesterday in PA and it's being shipped out this afternoon. I haven't heard from the guy in MI I'm getting the flywheel/clutch from, and I sent the checks out at the same time. Haven't heard a peep from him yet. I'll need to measure the two trannies and take my driveshafts to inland truck parts to have them made to the correct length, other than that, it should be pretty straightforward. I could be waiting on my clutch/flywheel and I could be out of town, still don't know when the funeral is giong to be. Hopefully I can get a hold of my clutch man today and find out when it's going to be on it's way.

I still have your cell # so when I finally figure out what's going on, I may give you a call to help. My buddy that would usually help me will be out of town next weekend so I just may need another set of hands.

I'm going to try. Just got back from Chicago late last night, I' mgoing to be lazy today, start on the swap tommorow after work. I think I have everything I need, so we'll see how it goes. Todd are you going to be able to make it?

It keeps going back and forth. My sister hasn't decided whether the b-day party will be there or in Wahoo. Hopefully she will decide sooner than later.

I gave your number to a couple of people about your trans at the swap meet today. Told them to wait until Monday to call since I didn't know when you would be back.

I should be there, but not until 1:30-2ish. My sister is having the b-day party starting at 11am in Platte City, but she approved my brother and I to leave and go to the gtg.
I hope the truck is running better by then.

I got the 6-speed in, just need to put it back together enough to get measurements for driveshaft mods. I can't work on it tonight so it's going to have to wait until Thursday night, and hopefully they won't be busy and can get my driveshafts done on Friday. If that works, then I'll put them in Fri, night and be there Sat. They may not get them done until Sat. morning so I might be a little late as well.
