Does anyone know of a diesel shop that understands most of the performance enhancements we discuss in this roundtable? My primary interests are a 3k GSK and timing adjustments. I mentioned a GSK to the current shop I am using and the response was "I don't know anything about that. " I know some of the old mechanics like to keep their "black magic" a secret.

I don't know of any GOOD shops, there are one or two simi close, up if it were me I'd haul my butt to TST in Columbus IN.

When you speak of Diesel performance shops in Ohio there is only ONE,Enterprise Engine Performance in Thornville. Their work, customer service and power speaks for itself. A finer shop or bunch of people I doubt many could match... ... ... ... . Andy

I have bought alot from TST and they have done a few things for me, they are very good at what they do. If your first and most important consideration is about what their laboe rate is, you should look else ware. If you are only interrested in getting something done cheap, then it doesn't matter whare you go to have your truck fixed. Pep boys is open late.

EEP is a great place to go. have worked on my 95 a few times and have always been helpful! I think that their labor rates is 50 or 65 an hour. don't recall to the dime though. you are a heck of a lot closer than i am. lol! hope this helps. later, nick

I am interested in getting good service for a fair price. I do not have unlimited income, so I cannot afford a Vasoline treatment when it comes time to pay for BOMBs.

People on this forum have far more experience with performance shops than I do and hopefully, I can learn not to repeat any mistakes. Maybe I'll run to the local Pep Boys and see if I can pick up a HX40 hybrid cheap. Maybe some 370's too.

Thanks for all the good advice.

Aaron
