It seems that diesels are a target for thieves.

Has anyone tried http://NoHotWire.com ?

I haven't tried it, but I did read a quite in depth review about it. In a recent issue of GM High Tech Performance, they did an article on the Ravelco system. From what they were saying is that there's never been a reported theft of a vehicle equipped with this system. It uses non color-coded wires, so that it can't be bypassed. The only person that can bypass it is your installer. It has a removable "plug" that has to be in to be able to start the vehicle. I'm definitely planning on getting one soon.

I live in the Bay Area but work in LA and San Diego a lot of the time... Jimmy Jammers (including for the tail gate!), Remote Starter Solinoid (sp?), AND a hidden starter switch. Remote fuel line cutoff in the garage pending installation, I intend to keep this truck!

in response to ptoombs just think about it all you have to do to run a pump or generater is hook it up to an output shaft get it spinning and set the cruise you could easly jack up the pickup put it on blocks and fab a coupler to the rear wheel hub I have seen this done here in idaho just to get by in times of need hope I didn't offend ya and I think the best protection is a s&w 500 if ya don't hit em by golly your gonna scare the crap out of em

Ya know, this is just too funny! I was going to say; what do they do, jack it up and put a flat belt on the rim like a model T ford?
