We had a GREAT TIME :D . Big Bob and Kathy, thank you for you great hospitality, bbq and fantastic Dyno and Show. Thanks Kathy for running me and the wife to Napa so I could fix my fuel leak :) . I would also thank Jason@nwc for all his involvement and participation. Shellys Automotive, I hope we can do this again. It was ggreat to see the familiar faces and the new people we met this weekend. Until the next time, Bomb on. Sam

Well put, Jim!

The low for the day was 104 (!) for a Hummer with a NA 6. 5, and this rig got an award for best (and olny) GM.

One of the most impressive was Vaughn's ETH with DD2's... Did a consistent 323 HP! :D

Man, I gotta get a cluctch so I can run next time... That's number next on my list! :D

Thanks to everyone for making "Diesel Thunder in Spokane" a success.

Hey Jim, Say no to DRUGS (propane)! :p Lets go straight on #2 diesel! Guess who wins! :D :p I went 458. 5 with my boxes and 460. 1 with Bill Kondalay's Drag strip Comp.

Say no to DRUGS!

yes bob you spanked me on #2 i only got 426 on diesel. it looks like i need some bigger injectors to keep up with you on just #2. this hp war is sure alot of fun!:D i figure my truck on drugs is better than me on drugs.

thanks again for having me over bob.

Jim,

You are welcome over anytime. We always have a spare bedroom now that the kids are gone. If you ever come this way and need a place to rest your head, just call.

I am also glad your truck is on drugs and not you. It was a great time. Looking forward to BD Dyno Days and next year's "Diesel Thunder in Spokane".

I think I'm done as far as HP. I know that Piers has stated, that pushing above 450 HP things start to break. The "White Obsession" needs to be reliable. Kathy and I are going to get a travel trailer this winter, don't want any problems. I still have a couple of accessories I want to add, none are performance items.

Oh, I forgot one thing, I think my HX40 might be for sale soon. Being we are going to get a TT, I want my turbo to spool up sooner, I'll need more low-end power. I gave Piers my HX35 to take back with him for some R&D on. We'll see.

Well it was a fun time, I hope this does become an annual event! Bob did an awesome job putting this thing all together and coming up with some great prize sponsorhips. Bob and the guys and gals at Shelley's did a great job of choreography and kept things moving right along. My friends I was visiting there in Spokane are neighbors to the guy that was strappin' 'em down. Last night we BSed for awhile and he was VERY impressed with the performance yesterday. What blew him away was the torque figures, definitely the highest that the dyno has seen. He had a blast and wants to do this again

Yeah Evan, 323hp with DD2s and no boxes other than the PS boost module. . . wohoo! I think the fuel system mods and Amsoil air filter were worth a couple HP (and no muffler) but threatening the Big BOMBers without a box is pretty fun :)

Spokane Thunder

We too would like to thank Kathy and Bob, Jason, and all the folks at Shelleys for a outstanding first event in Spokane. It was good to see some old friends and make some new ones. With as little notice as was given for this we think it was great and will return again next year.

(Get those hamburgers ready). :D  :D

Diesel Thunder in Spokane

What a blast!

Many thanks to Bob and Kathy for their hospitality... at home as well as the event... you two are the best! :)

Also, many thanks to those that voted for my two wins... "Best Engine Compartment" as well as "Best Of Show".

..... the only thing that topped that was seeing many of my friends as well as meeting a few more. :) As they say, you can't have too many friends. :D I am sorry to say that I didn't get to talk to Papa Joe longer... he left before I could get a chance to talk to him again (one of the nicest gentlemen you will ever meet).

Also, a big thank you to Shelley Automotive, Big Bob and Jason Burton (NW Custom) for making this event not only a reality, but a success.

BTW Kondolay, YOU owe me dinner... not the other way around. :D A bet is a bet!

..... and none of that McDonalds Happy Meal BS either.

Also, did you show Greg (GKR) your carpentry skills yet?:p Make sure you show him the hole you cut out for the Smart Controller (using a chainsaw?). DOH!:eek:
