Competition Can you pull with an automatic??

Just got back from Spokane. Everyone had fun at the dyno day and race track. Some big numbers from the unlimited class but i will leave them to post as they wish.

At the track some of us raced and also witnessed a new track record for a diesel :D

Had a blast as it was the first time on the track with my 1st Gen. and went unbeaten until the final race of the night when Jason Burton of North West Custom beat me by . 464 sec. I had him to 7/8th track when his power finally blew by me. :mad: :p I don't feel to bad as I beat him eariler in the night. :p He finally figured a way to put his 500hp to the ground. I want a tie breaker Jason :{

Thanks, Jason and Big Bob for putting the day on and the sponsers.

Anyways, Thanks everybody for the great time, and meeting everyone and hope to do it again.

In the first round, I won when Rhonda couldn't see the lights, and let up early.

The second round, I lost to Diesel Freak's 370+ HP, 16. 101@83+ to 15. 955@91, mostly because I wasted a lot of time when the tires let loose about a truck length from the starting line. About half track, I could hear him gaining on me and I beat him to the first lights and he passed me before the timing trap.

But, then Nascar Mark trounced him soundly the next round :)

In all, 1st gen power gained some respect :)

Mark, that was a close one..... My RT sucked . 963 on that run...

I must admit, your truck runs really good... . I wonder what I would have run if my clutch was not dragging..... that is why I had to re-stage.

That was one fun night!

I found this in my wallet, so please forgive the grunginess.

I had to digitally tweak the daylights out of it to make it readable at all. That's HOW BAD the slips were printed.

Well, here it is:

#ad

Note, it actually says that I won... But neither of us could read it in the dark. And it sure looked like YOU won.

You still did. . . at least for speed.

Way to go Power Wagon. Yes, you did win. He was fast in 1/4 mile but you beat him for the win by reaction time. :D Oo.

Another one for the old trucks. :p

I think the dyno classes should be broken up differently for the older trucks, including the Fords, and Chevy's as we are really limited with our pumps and technology. The categories would be closer this way and maybe more older trucks would show up to the dyno runs and not feel that they are being stomp on and have some closer competition.

Yeah, if we do this again, we'll have to run it right... OURSELVES.

Being quite green at it, we kinda screwed up. Best of all worlds, get everyone to do at least a couple of time trials, and then start out paired up closely, and do the bracket racing kind of elimenators.

Then, afterward, some grudge matches, for those who wanna try thier luck against someone at heads-up racing.

I was REALLY disappointed no ford or chevy guys came to race. I don't know what it would take to get them to show up. Money? I'd hate to think I'd have to pay out extra dough just so I could race 'em...
