MIR Drags NOW moved to Oct. 27

May Madness 2003?

I would love to come down there-but it's on my weekend to work :( ... ... bad work, bad work, bad work!!!! :D Too bad as I should be semi-BOMBed up by then... ... . planning to try and worm my way somehow into the Strathmore Super Pulls the weekend after that to test my combo out.

Garth-I am coming up your way either Saturday or Monday depending on whether my load of improvements shows from Piers by the weekend. Going to look at quads-my birthday is Saturday so I'm figuring on treating myself :) or at least getting a salesman all worked up. I'll drop you a line when I know better what's going on.....

Vaughn-how was your trip around the wilds of Alberta? Obviously you made it home so things must have been OK? :p

Jason

Garth, sent you a PM regarding gauges, etc. Strathmore sounds like the plan for the following weekend, gotta see what Jason's got up his sleeve ;).

Not much more up my sleeve besides my arm Rich! :p Bigger set of injectors-bigger turbo-bigger headaches :) ..... I am gonna have to R&D my fuel-system upgrades sooner than later I think to keep up with the mass quantities I'll be capable of consuming by then I guess.

I'm gonna really have to pedal hard to stay ahead of Alex-I think he's gone down on record as Rod's best customer now! He wants to go for a blast in both the Silver Cloud and Great White at Strathmore to make up his mind about turbos-next thing you know the boy'll be a slave to the bottle and I'll be a memory in his rear view mirrors... ... :)

Aren't these trucks a blast? Yesterday in Drum in the rain I leaned into the throttle a little with the COMP on 3x5, truck in 3rd gear around 40 km/h or so. Once the boost came up both 315's broke loose and I was pointed at the curb. I've never owned anything that pulled like this-let alone weighing in at 8500 lbs. ! Life is good... ... . :D

Thanks for the info Bob, I'll email you.

Jason, see what you've done? Alex is right off the deep end and you've been a major contributor to his illness! ;) :D. Luckily I feel pretty sane still and continue to resist the temptation to bomb the snot out of my truck. I do wish I could throttle steer it like yours though :{. Running a Comp in EZ mode doesn't really count as a bomb does it? PS haven't seen the mystery box yet.

COMP in EZ still counts as a BOMB Rich-remember the acronym is Better Off Modified Baby-and a COMP is definitely a mod :D . Can't blame me for Alex's sickness either-did you look at his quad? This is a man who truly subscribes to the BOMBers code! LOL... ...

Can't wait to see what comes in the mystery box-as soon as it arrives you'll have to drop me a line... ... man even call me on my cell to let me know! We'll have a "Rich ends his warranty" party! :p

Jason, it was a great trip! Lots of great scenery and rolling hills until you get north of Edmonton (I followed 22 most of the way up to avoid Edmonton). I wish I had more time to see some of the sights along the way but I had a lot of miles to cover and not much time to do it. I went as far as Hay River, NW Territories. Quite surprised at how large a town it was.

I just realized I drove though Garth's hometown of Rocky Mountain House twice, fueling up there on the way home. I remember that town VERY WELL 'cause a VERY cute blonde fueled my truck up for me and asked if she could check my oil & washer fluid and wash my windshield! Talk about full service (at self-serve prices!)

:--) :--) :--)

Drags

Bob, I'm interested in giving the drags a try. Never done it before but I figure doing it in front of friends is the best time to make a fool of myself! I have almost no clue how to read the Christmas Tree, but I assume "Green" means "GO!"

Vaughn

Vaughn give it a try no one will laugh to hard. This weekend was my first try with Nowel's Rocket and if you do a long enough burn out no one will notice you are a little late on the tree. The only problem I had was seeing the tree through all the smoke. Gee Gats what kinda injectors are those Nowel, did you get them from a FIRE TRUCK. :D

OH BOY!!! I may have to bring my little truck so I can race ol' "Kenzie":D

Oh no!

I'd ony race the Red Rocket if you disconnected at least 3 injector lines, take one turbo out of commission, and have Blair tie BOTH of your hands behind your back! :D

Vaughn

Just an update!

Our Sponsors are being very generous this year! There will be some really nice prizes! If you thought last year was good, just wait till this year! I want to thank the Sponsors in advance for their support! I will post a list of them shortly. :D

Jim Fuller and Christian Roth are both planning on coming! That mean 600 HP PLUS on #2 diesel! The is going to be the Duel between BD and DD! :-{} Each one is pushing new limits every day. With drugs these guys will probable be 700 to 800 HP! Where will it end?

:D

Also looks like there may be drag racing Friday night at Spokane Raceway Park! :D I'll keep you informed! Let me know if anyone is interested in doing some drag racing.

Nowel, you better bring that little RED ROCKET up and run with these guys!

More to come! See you there!

Steve

I talked to the raceway and fri night the 6th the only racing is the street drags no times and no tree just heads up racing fastest is the winner. Gates don't open till 8pm. If we want to wait untill sat night after dyno runs. aprox 8-9pm they have an event that will be just ending and we (if enough intrest) could have times and lights Just a thought I would need to know soon to try to make arrangements.

Pm me if intrested -- email address removed --
